Requirements to become a foster parent
Utah families receive monthly foster care payments to help offset the costs of raising a child. This stipend is meant for room and board, clothing, and related expenses.
The amount you receive varies based on a child's age and needs. Children that require more attention and care have slightly higher rates.
Foster youth have their medical and dental needs covered through Medicaid. This insurance should be enough for any doctor's visits, therapy sessions, dental exams, etc. Foster children also qualify for free school lunches.
Utah parents can take advantage of mentorship programs that allow them to learn from more experienced foster families. It's an excellent way to connect with others and build a support network. Plus, you'll have someone else to turn to if you have questions.
Utah Kids Belong has an app that gives foster parents access to special discounts from foster-friendly businesses. It's also an easy way to connect with faith-based communities, which may offer other types of support.

I have loved working with forever bound as a birth mother. They have helped me feel so comfortable with the whole process. If you are a birth mom looking to place they make you feel part of their family. Thank you so much this is only the beginning of what is to come.

We are so very grateful to Forever Bound Adoption! Adoption can be such a hard process, and very discouraging, especially if you have been wanting to grow your family for a long time. Steve and Karen were always there for us. They encouraged us, without ever giving us false hope. They kept us on track, without ever being pushy. They truly cared about our family and how we were doing; they would even check up on us occasionally to make sure everything was well. We never felt forgotten, or like a paycheck; we knew they really cared about us as people. This was especially evident when our amazing birth mother chose our family, and Steve and Karen rejoiced with us as much as we did. Thank you to both of them, and all of their staff! Our baby boy's adoption finalizes in a few months, and we can't thank them and our birth mother enough for our Forever Family! I would, and do, recommend them to everyone!

We adopted our baby girl 2 years ago. Forever bound adoption was who handled our adoption. It was overall a good experience.

We loved working with Forever Bound! They were always quick to respond to us, and we felt like we were a priority to them. Steve helped us navigate us through multiple situations and was an advocate for us from the beginning! They helped us build our profile through ParentFinder, and we feel like our profile is exactly what drew our son’s birth parents to us! We ultimately ended up matching privately, but they did our post-study visits and were awesome through that process as well. Forever Bound is ethical, affordable, and always available to help! Thank you, Steve and Karen, for such a wonderful experience!

We had an excellent experience with Forever Bound Adoption. They where always invested and cared deeply about their clients wether it was us as adoptive parents, or the birth parents. Their commitment to keeping their agency fees within reason was a huge draw, this along with their ability to keep things personal was a testament to their ethical practices. We ultimately ended up finding a placement through a lawyer but would recommend Forever Bound to anyone looking to work with an agency.
