Requirements to become a foster parent
Utah families receive monthly foster care payments to help offset the costs of raising a child. This stipend is meant for room and board, clothing, and related expenses.
The amount you receive varies based on a child's age and needs. Children that require more attention and care have slightly higher rates.
Foster youth have their medical and dental needs covered through Medicaid. This insurance should be enough for any doctor's visits, therapy sessions, dental exams, etc. Foster children also qualify for free school lunches.
Utah parents can take advantage of mentorship programs that allow them to learn from more experienced foster families. It's an excellent way to connect with others and build a support network. Plus, you'll have someone else to turn to if you have questions.
Utah Kids Belong has an app that gives foster parents access to special discounts from foster-friendly businesses. It's also an easy way to connect with faith-based communities, which may offer other types of support.

As Birth Parents, our experience with Forever Bound Adoption was a great one. As a Birth Mother all my needs we're met, in Medical, Living cost, etc. Steven & Karen Sunday we're both loving, caring on every level aspect during my pregnancy. They helped us pick out wonderful parents for our son, we had an open adoption that we love and we're also able to see him. We are truly blessed with the help we received with Forever Bound Adoption. I highly recommend whoever is considering Adoption, go with Forever Bound Adoption ❤❤

We were able to adopt an infant son from Forever Bound in June 2018. Working with this agency has been a great experience for us. Steve, the Owner and CEO, made a personal visit to our home for our introductory meeting and was quick to answer every call and email throughout the process. They are a smaller entity, so we never felt lost in the shuffle. He connected us with wonderful opportunities to speak with financial advisers, blog promoters, and various other professionals who were able to answer all our questions and make our adoption profile stand out. They helped us create a booklet to share with expectant parents and a video to post online. We found these resources very helpful. They accompanied us on visits with expectant mothers and came to all our meetings (including placement and the finalization hearing) prepared and contributed to those experiences being comfortable, successful, and positive. We would certainly use them again and are grateful for their involvement in helping us complete our family!

We LOVE Forever Bound Adoption!! Steve & Karen Sunday (the owners) were so fantastic to work with. From our initial application to the placement of our baby girl, they were with us 100% of the time. They had constant communication with both us and the birth parents, and we never had questions as to where we were in the process. They took such great care of our daughters birth parents and truly love the whole adoption process. I would recommend their services to couples/families hoping to adopt, as well as birth mothers/parents. They are the best in the business. We are beyond grateful for all they did to help us find our forever family.

My husband and I recently adopted our first child through Forever Bound Adoption. What impressed me the most was how much they truly cared for the birth family. They went out of their way to help them not only with things directly related to the adoption, but in general to improve their life. It was really great to know that they were being well taken care of throughout the process, as much as we were, if not a lot more. We were also really impressed how well the agency got to know us so that they could find us the perfect match in only 3 months from our initial visit. I would highly recommend this agency to anyone wanting to adopt as well as birth moms.
