Requirements to become a foster parent
Many adults are eligible to become foster parents in their state but do not always realize it. Each state in the U.S. has regulations and requirements for licensing foster parents. Florida does not require parents to own a large home or quit their jobs and become stay-at-home parents. Florida foster parents must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Prove good health and ability to care for a child
- Maintain a stable income
- Pass a background screening
- Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
- Complete a Home Study
The required training course is free to aspiring foster parents. It helps parents learn how to foster children and become licensed to provide foster care in Florida.

26health was recommended as our best chance in this state to receive trans healthcare. They had a great therapist for my partner but the nurse/doctor in charge of actually prescribing the medication was operating on info/ research from the 90's.
We've checked with no fewer than 3 other nurses/doctors from other practices and states that have noted the reasons 26health's doctor gave to deny HRT were straight up incorrect and/or contradictory to research done over the last 10-20 years. More than enough time for an experienced doctor to have done their homework on this topic when it's literally their job.
Scheduling was horrible and stressful. Beyond that the doctor that denied the HRT said she would "look up" her own claims for more modern research and would follow up. She never did. My partner contacted the patient care coordinator who reached out to the doctor who begrudgingly replied "i already gave you my answer". That was the end of it.
We went to Plume. HRT and therapy for both of us- all without the gatekeeping. Happier than ever!

I have nothing but positive things to say about my new patient experience with 26Health. Luke made me feel very welcome, and was incredibly helpful in quickly getting me on-boarded and set up with my first appointment. Brenda was very understanding, and I felt comfortable talking with her in my first counseling sessions. Last but not least, I was blown away in my first medical appointment by how fast Stephanie was able to get the ball rolling in starting me on the medication that I need. I look forward to seeing more of everyone there!

I can't imagine transitioning anywhere else. The staff are so friendly and well-informed. They've made this big step shockingly easy. I feel confident in my care.
My provider, Cathy Ernotte, is amazing. She understands the complexities and ambiguity of trans healthcare and is such a kind and understanding person. It's a pleasure to work with her!

This is one of the best Healthcare Services I have been to yet. The staff members and the doctors are awesome I literally have no problems with the service they provide. If you are near the downtown area our personally lives in the downtown area I will prefer two spirit Health Care Service.
June 2020 update I am giving them a 2 star the next appointment time they gave me was about 2 month that's crazy and forget about trying to get in contact with someone. My review will change with the next update some time in March 2021.
