Requirements to become a foster parent
Many adults are eligible to become foster parents in their state but do not always realize it. Each state in the U.S. has regulations and requirements for licensing foster parents. Florida does not require parents to own a large home or quit their jobs and become stay-at-home parents. Florida foster parents must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Prove good health and ability to care for a child
- Maintain a stable income
- Pass a background screening
- Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
- Complete a Home Study
The required training course is free to aspiring foster parents. It helps parents learn how to foster children and become licensed to provide foster care in Florida.

Great office with caring and compassionate medical staff. My doctor is great and very knowledgeable that goes above and beyond every need, and won't hesitate to do additional research and get back to me if need be. I would highly recommend to anyone in search of a new doctor/medical office.

In the beginning everything was going smoothly and without any problems and everyone in the staff had been helpful. The therapist has been helpful and I don't have any issues with him. Ever since my daughter started the transition, and after the pandemic started their service has gone down drastically. You can never get anyone call you back. They told my daughter that once she start the transition she cannot stop it and must take the estrogen on time. But when it comes to get the refills, they take too long to respond. I don't know what is going on lately but it is frustrating. Unfortunately this is the only organization that I've found with these services. Perhaps that is the problem. I'm very disappointed.

26Health is a great place! Everyone is friendly and made me feel extremely comfortable. Deedee was very helpful, and Blaine is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. I can’t say enough great things about them!
