Requirements to become a foster parent
Many adults are eligible to become foster parents in their state but do not always realize it. Each state in the U.S. has regulations and requirements for licensing foster parents. Florida does not require parents to own a large home or quit their jobs and become stay-at-home parents. Florida foster parents must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Prove good health and ability to care for a child
- Maintain a stable income
- Pass a background screening
- Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
- Complete a Home Study
The required training course is free to aspiring foster parents. It helps parents learn how to foster children and become licensed to provide foster care in Florida.

For a place that's supposed to be helping with Trans-related problems, they sure do create a lot more in the process. The best thing I can say is that they've given my partner the testosterone they need, and even that they have been messing up for around 2 years now. Constant dead-naming, repeated rudeness over the phone, putting my partner through constant depression episodes for simply not getting their T out on time leaving them without it for weeks, the problems we've had are almost countless. They had to report a doctor issue recently over the phone and was argued with despite very clearly explaining the problem. The health of people should not be treated so poorly, it is a wonder that they've been doing this for so long because it really sounds like my partner isn't alone on this.
Also they never answer their phone calls, don't let some auto generated response to a review tell you otherwise.

SOOOOO VERY PLEASED WITH THE CARE ,COMPASSION AND KNOWLEDGE I HAVE RECEIVED AND GAINED!!! Milena was absolutely superb in assisting me with documents and just has the most pleasant personality! Evelyn (RN) was a true joy to speak with...very informative and caring! Dr. Shekari was extremely delightful and relatable! All POSITIVE VIBES is what I received from everyone I encountered at 26 Health!! Thank you for providing a place to have fair medical treatment!!!

I have been a patient of 26 health for about 5 years when they were two spirit. I am being seen by Dr. Ernotte and Stephanie Hunter nurse practitioner, I am extremely happy with their care and trust them very much. Thank you both.

Did they have to change names to fool people? I started going to Two Spirit 4 or 5 years ago. It was great back in the day. However, It’s been a slow agonizing decent into hell over the years. Constant staff changes, each worse than the one before. What legit office never answers the phone or returns calls from patients? I’m tempted to sue them for malpractice. I’ve been calling for months to schedule an appointment with no results. I don’t know what happened to this place but I miss the old days. Can’t give zero stars so they get one.
Thanks for the response but just answer your phone like every legit office in America.
UPDATE: I won't go into the details here, it would take too much time and space. However, I've been waiting over a week to get my prescriptions after finally getting an appointment. They have refused to answer their phone and have refused to return daily messages from myself, the pharmacies and GILIAD. Due to the lack of care and concern for the well being of their patients, I will be filing a complaint with the Florida Board of Medicine and I encourage anyone else with similar issues to do the same. This is nothing more than malpractice and gross negligence.
Once again, phones not answered and apparently no one bothers to check messages. Called to cancel and reschedule an appointment due to a conflict. Left messages by phone and on Healow. No response. Then I get a message that I was a "no show" for the appointment I called to reschedule days before. They said I would be charged a "no show" fee. Really? What's the fee for not answering your phone or checking messages from patients?
At my last appointment, I was told I couldn't get prescription refills I've been getting for more than 5 years unless I came in and paid extra for it.
Everything seemed to be about generating fees. Are they this strapped for cash? When I first started coming they were supposed to be a haven for the uninsured. Now it seems to be all about getting money any way they can. Good luck collecting your "no show" fee for an appointment I cancelled. So disorganized and unprofessional. The medical staff in the back is great but the front office and administration is terrible.

I love everything they have done for me as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, but unless I am talking directly to my provider, I get misgendered/deadnamed frequently.
I suggest adding something to your software that alerts your employees when someone's legal name is different from their real name and pronouns.
