Requirements to become a foster parent
Many adults are eligible to become foster parents in their state but do not always realize it. Each state in the U.S. has regulations and requirements for licensing foster parents. Florida does not require parents to own a large home or quit their jobs and become stay-at-home parents. Florida foster parents must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Prove good health and ability to care for a child
- Maintain a stable income
- Pass a background screening
- Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
- Complete a Home Study
The required training course is free to aspiring foster parents. It helps parents learn how to foster children and become licensed to provide foster care in Florida.

No matter my state when I walk in, I always walk down the stairs and out of the building with a smile on my face. They are a safe haven and some of the most compassionate people I’ve ever met. Behavioral and medical. There isn’t one thing or person to complain about for me. They helped me change my life for the better and continue to do so. Thank you Evelyn. I couldn’t be more grateful. There are so many glowing reviews and I wonder why I have mostly negative experiences. Just last weekend, I had lab work scheduled at Quest and Two Spirit never sent the request to them. I then tried calling through out the day and no one has ever picked up. I left a message, no one returned my call. My appointment with Two Spirit is in 2 weeks, so I'm not sure what to do. i have experienced this a few times already.
Also, it's concerning that I rarely see the same person and each person I see, it's like they have no idea what's going on with me, even though I've been going here for two years, and rarely seem to care. Many times, I've arrived and I wasn't even on the schedule, even though I booked my appointment with them at the last visit.
All I can say is in my experience, a trans person WILL NOT receive the proper care that they need here. I'm surprised to see so many glowing reviews on here honestly. It's certainly nothing I've experienced.

I been going here for about a year now. It seem the issues just keep racking up when it comes to medical staff. Therapist is great and understanding but staff that does HRT seem to not care about clients. I have issues with getting my prescription and been without estogen for about a month, they also made me bleed all over myself after blood test, and failed to give me info how to injection myself. Hope someday this place fixes its issues before someone report them to license board.

Marisol was lovely and informative at the front desk. Dr. Vargus was absolutely lovely and so caring. Its nice to have a doctor that cares and looks at you in uour face when talking. The environment of office was so inviting and relaxing. I will definitely be sharing my experience with my patients, family and friends.

I've been going to Brandi for hair removal for several years. She has always been super friendly and she does great work. I've had amazing results from the laser & electrolysis sessions and the chemical peels have really helped my complexion. Finding her was a blessing, it's awesome to have a spa where I feel so comfortable.
