Requirements to become a foster parent

Many adults are eligible to become foster parents in their state but do not always realize it. Each state in the U.S. has regulations and requirements for licensing foster parents. Florida does not require parents to own a large home or quit their jobs and become stay-at-home parents. Florida foster parents must:

  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Prove good health and ability to care for a child
  • Maintain a stable income
  • Pass a background screening
  • Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
  • Complete a Home Study

The required training course is free to aspiring foster parents. It helps parents learn how to foster children and become licensed to provide foster care in Florida.

The experience I had at Beautiful You Medi Spa was amazing! Brandi makes you feel comfortable and treats you like family. Her warm and friendly personality puts you at ease during treatments. She is very knowledgeable about what treatment plan will benefit you and what beauty products will work on your skin. You will be happy that you went to see Brandi for all your beauty and hair removal needs.

This place provides all inclusive healthcare services for all people. Great place. They even work with those who are uninsured to help provide flexible payment for a sliding scale for payment with services including pharmacy services for individuals with lower income. So helpful.

26 Health is a Superior LGBTQ clinic. The staff are always super friendly and the physicians are fantastic. The ARNP Inga is very personable and professional. The mental health staff is amazing!! My husband recently started his transition and everyone has been very supportive and we have been given a lot a information on the process. The office is always very clean and inviting. We are so very blessed to have found such wonderful medical providers within our community!!

my Friend went here when it was two spirit and it was impossible to get anyone to answer the phone then just as much as it is now. It’s very unprofessional. I need my friend to have an appointment but looks like we will have to look else where Bc they don’t know how to answer the phone.

I have constant issues with getting my prescriptions filled after appointments. During my appointments I am told my prescriptions are being sent to my pharmacy, but then the pharmacy has no record of receiving anything. So I have to call the office to see what's going on. While everyone in the office has been kind when I'm there in person, I can never get a hold of anyone if I have to call them. The phone always rings and rings and rarely can I get a person on the other end. If I leave a message no one ever returns calls. If I do finally speak to a person the things I need never get done unless I keep calling and asking...and then the same cycle happens all over again. Then I have to go through all that again after the next appointment.

This should be simple stuff for a medical office, yet I always have the same issues. How they ever plan to offer services other than the medical and mental health stuff is beyond me. If you can't complete something as simple as answering a phone or sending in prescriptions maybe you're to incompetent to manage additional programs, or anything for that matter. Maybe they should take a step back from all these services they want to offer and get back to the basics. I appreciate what they want to offer the community, but words are meaningless without the actions to back it up.

I'm disappointed I have to get my health care needs fulfilled elsewhere. But it won't take much to impress me, they just have to answer the phone.

Be better.
