Our Foster Care program provides boys and girls ages 4–17 with emotional or behavioral difficulties an opportunity to live within the community in the naturally therapeutic environment of a family. Our foster parents are trained, supervised, and supported by the Laurel Heights Specialized Foster Care Treatment Team.
Family consultants work with the foster family, birth parents, case managers, and the child to ensure that therapeutic, academic, social, and medical needs are met. Family consultants also provide 24-hour on-call support and work closely with case managers and birth families to support family reunification goals.

The DHS assists foster families with placement and ensures the child adjusts well to their new environment. as a former patient at laurel heights i think it was a terrible place it didn't help me at all it scared me i was there for 5 months ms. kai on unit 2 was nice at 1 moment then terrifying please dont send your children there

Very stressful and horrible experience. I felt like my child was in prison. They're quick to overly medicate your child, the communication is horrible there, it's difficult to reach a human to actually speak with. My son came home with most of his clothes destroyed or missing. He's currently without hid meds, due to the facility's Dr not answering the phone when my pharmacist tried to call them.

This place does not help kids it's just a jail untraned staff nasty kids stay dirty till you make a appointment to go see them then they will clean the child up nasty will not answer the phone in Qunit to let you speak with your child I'm going to pick my child up tommorow this is we're Vanderbilt hospital refure you to for help needs to be inspection ever week by the state just eats up your money with no improvement .

It is the worst place to send a child. My son stayed for a week. They let other kids hit him and cuss him. They did not change his meds or help him. They do not treat ur kid right. They made my son sleep on the floor the first night.
