Our Foster Care program provides boys and girls ages 4–17 with emotional or behavioral difficulties an opportunity to live within the community in the naturally therapeutic environment of a family. Our foster parents are trained, supervised, and supported by the Laurel Heights Specialized Foster Care Treatment Team.
Family consultants work with the foster family, birth parents, case managers, and the child to ensure that therapeutic, academic, social, and medical needs are met. Family consultants also provide 24-hour on-call support and work closely with case managers and birth families to support family reunification goals.

Requirements to become a foster parent
The DHS assists foster families with placement and ensures the child adjusts well to their new environment. Horrible! Do NOT send your child! Disgusting facility, my son didn’t have a shower for 4-5 days, his soap/toothpaste was taken. No sheets on the bed,

They put my son on a bus when he turned 18 in 2009 and no body has heard from him since

This place is horrible they let my daughter got jumped and they let the kids bully her and pull her hair out and cut her clothes up tell me how do kids get jumped and tell me how kids get a hold to scissors and they still yet to let me watch the video tape can you say sad !

In 2015, my son had spent a year here. He had been to multiple hospital's over a 5 year period and no place tried different medications until it was right. Thank you to the staff, mostly Paul Emanuel still loves you. Besides the fact they are very busy and couldn't always answer the phone, my son is still home with me and doing well. God bless the staff.

Ive been here other than the time we have to wake up my expierence here was THE BEST!! The staff was verry understanding of us. They give us a good amount of food(even me because im on the heavy side) and this place set my problems straight!! Thank you Laurel Heights!!
