Requirements to become a foster parent
Utah families receive monthly foster care payments to help offset the costs of raising a child. This stipend is meant for room and board, clothing, and related expenses.
The amount you receive varies based on a child's age and needs. Children that require more attention and care have slightly higher rates.
Foster youth have their medical and dental needs covered through Medicaid. This insurance should be enough for any doctor's visits, therapy sessions, dental exams, etc. Foster children also qualify for free school lunches.
Utah parents can take advantage of mentorship programs that allow them to learn from more experienced foster families. It's an excellent way to connect with others and build a support network. Plus, you'll have someone else to turn to if you have questions.
Utah Kids Belong has an app that gives foster parents access to special discounts from foster-friendly businesses. It's also an easy way to connect with faith-based communities, which may offer other types of support.

Karen and her staff are so loving and organized! My son was very nervous about starting school but they made it an easy transition.

I don't even know where to begin with mother goose preschool. It's so amazing! My son has been there for two wonderful years and I just signed up my daughter for her first year starting in the fall. I only wish I knew about them when my older kids were going to preschool. I can't recommend them enough. Karen Daniels is a sweetheart and you can see how much she loves the kids and how she goes above and beyond to teach them new things.

This is the best preschool around! My oldest daughter attended two preschools that I was not happy with before we found Mother Goose Preschool. I am so glad I found this preschool that has helped my children develop a love of learning and reading. Karen Daniels is everything that a preschool teacher should be...incredibly sweet, adores children, fun loving and an amazing teacher. She has been teaching preschool long enough that she has it down to an art. My oldest child who attended MGP is now in second grade and is soaring through school. My 2nd child is loving her 2nd year with MGP and I am about to enroll my 3rd child in next year's 3 year old preschool. I really can't say enough good things about this school!

I have had two daughters attend Mother goose preschool and both have really loved it. The teachers are very caring and organized and it is the best.

I highly recommend this preschool to all of my friends. Karen does a great job making learning fun, and meaningful. Everything she does has a purpose. Both of my children have loved attending here and I felt safe leaving them in her care. My kids have been more than prepared to enter Kindergarten after attending, we are so grateful to Karen for all of her hard work!
