Requirements to become a foster parent
Utah families receive monthly foster care payments to help offset the costs of raising a child. This stipend is meant for room and board, clothing, and related expenses.
The amount you receive varies based on a child's age and needs. Children that require more attention and care have slightly higher rates.
Foster youth have their medical and dental needs covered through Medicaid. This insurance should be enough for any doctor's visits, therapy sessions, dental exams, etc. Foster children also qualify for free school lunches.
Utah parents can take advantage of mentorship programs that allow them to learn from more experienced foster families. It's an excellent way to connect with others and build a support network. Plus, you'll have someone else to turn to if you have questions.
Utah Kids Belong has an app that gives foster parents access to special discounts from foster-friendly businesses. It's also an easy way to connect with faith-based communities, which may offer other types of support.

I've had kids going here for 3 years and love how much they grow! My kids are ahead for their age thanks to Mother Goose Preschool.

My little girl loves this preschool, the teachers, and all the fun activities they get to do! Would definitely recommend!

My 5 year old loves going to preschool. I love this preschool because Mrs. D knows her stuff. She's an expert in these little ones and there isn't anyone I'd rather have teaching my kids.

I am so happy with our experience with this preschool. I moved here out of state and was nervous finding a good school for my son. My older sister who is an elementary school teacher actually heard about this preschool and recommended it to me. Karen the director, is absolutely amazing and spends so much time and effort into the curriculum and planning fun activities for the kids. My son has been going here now for a couple years and we have been beyond thrilled with our experience and how much he has grown. I will most definitely be sending all my kids here in the future.

We love this preschool. All the teachers are fabulous and they are so good at recognizing how each child learns and helps them to succeed. Last year my daughter hated going to school and it was a battle every morning. This year she loves it! I couldn’t be more pleased.
