Requirements to become a foster parent
Utah families receive monthly foster care payments to help offset the costs of raising a child. This stipend is meant for room and board, clothing, and related expenses.
The amount you receive varies based on a child's age and needs. Children that require more attention and care have slightly higher rates.
Foster youth have their medical and dental needs covered through Medicaid. This insurance should be enough for any doctor's visits, therapy sessions, dental exams, etc. Foster children also qualify for free school lunches.
Utah parents can take advantage of mentorship programs that allow them to learn from more experienced foster families. It's an excellent way to connect with others and build a support network. Plus, you'll have someone else to turn to if you have questions.
Utah Kids Belong has an app that gives foster parents access to special discounts from foster-friendly businesses. It's also an easy way to connect with faith-based communities, which may offer other types of support.

I cannot say enough about mother goose preschool. When looking for a school for my son I was extremely nervous to find the perfect fit as he would get major social anxiety anytime he knew he would be in a place where he would have to interact with people- especially new people! We were recommended to mother goose by many friends so we set up a meeting to meet with some of the teachers. Within moments of meeting my son- mrs ‘D’ was able to get on his level and asses what his comfort level was. It was great to see someone who truly loved doing what they do! Throughout this past year my son has grown and excelled so much! He LOVES going to school! He has made friends and loves to tell me everything they do each day! Mother Goose helped put my worrried heart at ease and has been such a blessing for my family! My daughter gets jealous and can’t wait to start preschool at mother goose this coming year!

We have really enjoyed this preschool. Each day is full of cutely designed activities and fun.

this is not a daycare preschool, they have a great program, a lot of activities and field trips. They really help your children get ready for kindergarten. Teachers are great, my daughters loved them.

I have sent two of my kids to Mother Goose Preschool! We love it. They are such a great mix of learning and fun. My kids look forward to it every day that they go. They treat your kids with love and care.
