Gift of Life Adoptions is one of the largest adoption agencies in the State of Florida, located in the Tampa Bay area since 1994. We are a private agency, licensed through the Florida Department of Children and Family Services. We have wonderful relationships with our past families, many of which reside outside the state of Florida.

Requirements to become a foster parent
Many adults are eligible to become foster parents in their state but do not always realize it. Each state in the U.S. has regulations and requirements for licensing foster parents. Florida does not require parents to own a large home or quit their jobs and become stay-at-home parents. Florida foster parents must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Prove good health and ability to care for a child
- Maintain a stable income
- Pass a background screening
- Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
- Complete a Home Study
The required training course is free to aspiring foster parents. It helps parents learn how to foster children and become licensed to provide foster care in Florida.

Gift of Life goes above and beyond to provide mother's placing for adoption and adoptive parents a beautiful adoption experience. I have never met such an amazing group of people, with so much compassion for helping those they serve. They work very hard for their clients to provide them with a smooth and fulfilling adoption process. The staff at Gift of Life recognize how emotional and important this decision is for Mother's and do everything in their power for their clients. All the members of this team are experienced, educated, and compassionate allowing them to do great work. Though I must mention, the executive director has extensive experience and education, which allows her to do an incredible job serving those who seek services from Gift of Life! She has assisted this agency in many adoptions helping birth parents make this selfless decision and adoptive parents be blessed with a child that they have been hoping for. The staff at Gift of Life Adoptions work tirelessly to show their compassion and commitment to providing the best adoption experience possible to both the birth mother/parents and the adoptive families. When you call Gift of Life for information you are met with a crew that is thorough, informative, understanding and kind. Recent staff changes seem to have had a positive effect on the office. The executive director and legal assistant are more than qualified for their positions and do a wonderful job. I would recommend this agency to those who are interested in adoption.
