Adoption by Shepherd Care (ASC) was founded in 1980 and is currently the oldest Florida-based international & Domestic adoption agency assisting Expectant Parents facing unplanned pregnancies, Orphans in need of a Forever Family and Prospective Adoptive Families desiring to become parents through adoption.

Requirements to become a foster parent
Many adults are eligible to become foster parents in their state but do not always realize it. Each state in the U.S. has regulations and requirements for licensing foster parents. Florida does not require parents to own a large home or quit their jobs and become stay-at-home parents. Florida foster parents must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Prove good health and ability to care for a child
- Maintain a stable income
- Pass a background screening
- Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
- Complete a Home Study
The required training course is free to aspiring foster parents. It helps parents learn how to foster children and become licensed to provide foster care in Florida.

My husband and I have had a memorable and wonderful experience with Adoption By Shepherds Care!! We so very much appreciate that the Lord placed us in our adoption journey with Adoption By Shepherds Care. The Staff have all been very Caring and understanding! We have been blessed to adopt our beautiful baby boy that has completed our Family. ❤️

There are so many positive things to say about ABSC! Communication was clear and timely, the kindness and empathy for both us and the birth family was incredible. All of the social workers are very knowledgeable about the process and thorough with documentation. We highly recommend them!

I watched the show on Natalia Grace and I was very shocked when I saw that it was your adoption agency that adopted her out to the Barnett family and she destroyed a loving family. How could you not know that her birth certificate was forged and she was actually an adult? Your adoption agency should have been shutdown after this incident. This woman destroyed a happy family who was charged for child abuse when she was not even a child because your agency did not do their homework. Shame on you.
