What We Do
Through our Christian ministry of adoption, orphan care, and foster care we walk with expectant parents, hopeful adoptive families, foster families, and orphaned children around the world through life’s difficult chapters. Together, we write a story of hope.

Requirements to become a foster parent
You must meet minimum requirements to provide foster care for children in Colorado. Foster parents for children and families must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Maintain sufficient income to support a family
- Have physical and mental capability to care for children and youth
- Pass a child abuse background and criminal background check
- Work with a treatment team and undergo future training
- Complete a Home Study
Prospective foster families can contact a Colorado child placement agency or your local Department of Human Services. Social workers in these child welfare agencies will provide information about Colorado's child welfare system, foster care, and the adoption process.
Social workers recommended that other adults and children in your home agree to provide long-term home care, too. If everyone is ready to welcome a new child, your local agency will help your home become an approved foster home.

What a blessing and honor it was to work with Hope's Promise on our adoption journey. It was clear from the beginning that they have an ethical, balanced approach to adoption. They take excellent care of birth families, and ensure hopeful adoptive families have the education they need to make informed, ethical decisions around their adoption. I always felt like I had people I could call who would be honest and open with me, answer the hard questions and help us on our journey. Unfortunately there are so many things wrong happening in the adoption space, and it was a relief to us to work with an agency we knew were transparent and ethical, especially in their work with birth moms. In the end, we were blessed with an incredible adoption story, and I am so glad Hope's Promise was on the journey with us.

We are so honored to have had the opportunity to work with Hope’s Promise. From the time we attended an information meeting to the time our son’s adoption finalized, it was over two years, and every step of the way we felt supported and cared for. We always tell people that Hope’s Promise is wonderful because they are committed to operating an ethical business that is thorough and above reproach while also ministering to the hearts of their clients in a compassionate and personal way. They seek to honor and support each aspect of the adoption triad…the adoptee, the birth family, and the adoptive family. Each staff member we interacted with was professional, knowledgeable, kind, and communicative. We are forever grateful that someone told us about Hope’s Promise and cannot recommend them enough.

Hope's Promise gave us excellent guidance and support during our domestic infant adoption journey. They were kind and sensitive, very responsive, and helped us navigate difficult situations very smoothly. And we have the most amazing son because of this journey! We are grateful to our caseworker Liz and all the wonderful people at Hope's Promise that helped us become parents – we'd certainly recommend working with them.

A very caring organization they were not just concerned with getting my baby to his new family but we're concerned on how I was doing and they still continue to check on me even a year after the adoption went through. Very caring and professional
