Hope and Home
An award-winning Colorado foster care agency providing training and support for families in Colorado Springs and across the state.Hope & Home started with a few concerned members of a church Sunday school group who saw foster kids being treated like second-class citizens, or worse, and decided to do something about it.
Today, we’ve turned foster care upside down and have emerged as one of the largest, most dynamic child placement agencies (CPAs) in the state of Colorado — with hundreds of children rescued from the foster care system and happily adopted. Each year we provide short- and long-term, in-family care to hundreds of children in crisis.
Along the way, we’ve created a program where children in foster care are nurtured and truly cared for, and where the foster parents who give these children a home can do so with a level of friendly, professional support not found anywhere else.
Our strength comes from our Christian commitment to children, from our large and highly invested community of donors and supporters, and from our pledge to only accept first-rate foster parents who believe, as we do, that no child should ever feel less than loved.

Requirements to become a foster parent
You must meet minimum requirements to provide foster care for children in Colorado. Foster parents for children and families must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Maintain sufficient income to support a family
- Have physical and mental capability to care for children and youth
- Pass a child abuse background and criminal background check
- Work with a treatment team and undergo future training
- Complete a Home Study
Prospective foster families can contact a Colorado child placement agency or your local Department of Human Services. Social workers in these child welfare agencies will provide information about Colorado's child welfare system, foster care, and the adoption process.
Social workers recommended that other adults and children in your home agree to provide long-term home care, too. If everyone is ready to welcome a new child, your local agency will help your home become an approved foster home.

Hope & Home is re-inventing what foster and adoptive care look like.
My wife and I were licensed at Hope & Home, fostered for five years, and ended up adopting our placements. All along the way, we've been supported by the staff, community and consistently wowed by the agency's amazing events (Summer O' Fun, fashion show, Bell of the Ball, teddy bear clinic, Lemonade Bridgade 5K, etc.).
This has to be one of the best agencies in the country.

💖🏡💟We adopted our beautiful daughter Kody in 2007 from Hope and Home! We were planning on adopting the sibling group of 4, however unfortunately, the Judge ordered the group be split up and placed with 4 different families. Kody is such an amazing, special, blessing and wonderful addition to our family! We want to let you know that Kody has become a true treasure to us! We have had a few ups and downs over the past 9 years however each bump in our road has made us stronger as a family and has bonded us together even more!

There are no words to describe Hope and Home, but I'll try. Ross Wright has put together an amazing organization. We looked at other places prior to committing to H&H and when we walked in, we knew it was where we were supposed to be. Their staff and the system they have in place have set the bar high for foster standards. We are very thankful to H&H.
