An award-winning Colorado foster care agency providing training and support for families in Colorado Springs and across the state.Hope & Home started with a few concerned members of a church Sunday school group who saw foster kids being treated like second-class citizens, or worse, and decided to do something about it.

Today, we’ve turned foster care upside down and have emerged as one of the largest, most dynamic child placement agencies (CPAs) in the state of Colorado — with hundreds of children rescued from the foster care system and happily adopted. Each year we provide short- and long-term, in-family care to hundreds of children in crisis.
Along the way, we’ve created a program where children in foster care are nurtured and truly cared for, and where the foster parents who give these children a home can do so with a level of friendly, professional support not found anywhere else.
Our strength comes from our Christian commitment to children, from our large and highly invested community of donors and supporters, and from our pledge to only accept first-rate foster parents who believe, as we do, that no child should ever feel less than loved.

Requirements to become a foster parent

You must meet minimum requirements to provide foster care for children in Colorado. Foster parents for children and families must:

  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Maintain sufficient income to support a family
  • Have physical and mental capability to care for children and youth
  • Pass a child abuse background and criminal background check
  • Work with a treatment team and undergo future training
  • Complete a Home Study

Prospective foster families can contact a Colorado child placement agency or your local Department of Human Services. Social workers in these child welfare agencies will provide information about Colorado's child welfare system, foster care, and the adoption process.

Social workers recommended that other adults and children in your home agree to provide long-term home care, too. If everyone is ready to welcome a new child, your local agency will help your home become an approved foster home.

If I could do 0 I would. We foster and adopted a teen that came from a children's home, a new program that hope and home profited from. Not successful and hell after adoption after having a 13yr old for 1 year as foster. And because he was the first to be adopted from the new kids home program they had the nerve toask if the local news could film it, I said no of course. Adoption shoulbe and was a private event. After that the 13 yr old 14yr old at adoption after we loved him and he became part of our family. There was alot of issues and more now that he is 17 going on 18

Wow!!! We have been at Hope and Home for 3 years. We have excellent support and understanding staff. We thank you all for all you do!!. Kudos to Ross, Jacque and Marian just to mention a few. The kids are blessed beyond measure with each visit there between support and the Zoondoogle factory. We love the parents that take these kids too and look forward to our groups! God Bless your mission! Phil & Margaret

My son, Jayden Huller was abused and then drown in a hot tub when he spoke up about the abuse by Jamie and Bianca Krakovski. Ross wright, the director only cares about money. How could you sleep at night. All you foster monsters need to get jobs and stop profiting on our children.
