Building Bridges Foster Family Agency is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization licensed by the state of California and facilitates foster care homes throughout Los Angeles County. We are a foster family agency providing services and treatment for abused and neglected children while reunification services with their families are being explored and/or completed. Building Bridges Foster Family Agence has been called one the elite foster family agencies in the Inland Empire and Los Angeles County

Requirements to become a foster parent
Many do not realize the need for new resource families in California. The number of foster kids outnumber the foster families who can provide short or long-term care. Foster advocates work hard to find places for these children, but it is not easy.
The latest 2021 report from the Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System (AFCARS) report in California says there are:
- 47,871 kids in California's foster care system
- 22,892 who entered foster care
- 15,386 foster kids awaiting adoption
- California foster kids across all ages, with a median of 8 years
- 33% whose foster child case plans include adoption
A child's median time in the California foster care system is over a year at 16.8 months. 13% spend 3-4 years in foster care.
California needs foster parents to take in multiple children if they have the time and energy to care for them. Sibling groups often need care, and it is essential to support these family bonds. In California, it is challenging to find homes for teenagers, though they need stable environments and reliable adults to support them.

I recently worked for Building Bridges as the photographer for one of the Christmas charity events that they hosted. The staff was very friendly, polite, and attentive to the families that attended, myself included. Although I was just the photographer at the event, It was nice to see that the staff was so involved and caring toward the children. It is apparent that the the staff members are passionate about what they do and it was truly heart warming to experience first hand. It was certainly a pleasurable experience and I look forward to working with them again in the future.

My wife and i have been with building bridges for almost a year and ever since we started the process to get certified it has been an easy very informative process. The training was excellent and detailed, Kathya made sure to take the time to answer any questions we had. The overall staff is very diligent and friendly, Victor is always very welcoming and polite with any updates. We had our first placement right after we obtained our certification and we love the kids, our Agency social worker Yvette goes above and beyond to always help us in any way possible. Yvette is always available 24/7 to give support and that to us is very valuable because its out first time being resource parents we always have questions. I totally recommend this agency!

This agency is fantastic. The staff goes above and beyond their duties. Violet helped me through out my application process. Whenever I had questions she was always happy to help. Victor kept me updated with any placements I had. He always answering any questions or concerns I may have had. Janean is the best case worker anyone could hope for. If I had any problems at anytime morning, noon or night, she will not hesitate to respond. She is on top of ever need I may have with a placement. I appreciate everyone there. Thank you for the strong support you all give.

This place is right place I choosing. I’m from Hesperia. Actually I supposed choose the office nearby my house. But I didn’t go there any more. The service totally can not compare with the office in Rancho. Robert/Meena/ Victor... everybody are nice in there. The service are good. They are using professional way to treat with every foster parents. That’s why I like them a lot. If you want to become a foster parents, I’m highly recommend this office for you guys.
