Building Bridges Foster Family Agency is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization licensed by the state of California and facilitates foster care homes throughout Los Angeles County. We are a foster family agency providing services and treatment for abused and neglected children while reunification services with their families are being explored and/or completed. Building Bridges Foster Family Agence has been called one the elite foster family agencies in the Inland Empire and Los Angeles County
We have gone through rigorous accreditation to prove that we are among the best in the field. We are truly committed to help yo become a foster parent and will guide you through every step in the process.

Requirements to become a foster parent
Many do not realize the need for new resource families in California. The number of foster kids outnumber the foster families who can provide short or long-term care. Foster advocates work hard to find places for these children, but it is not easy.
The latest 2021 report from the Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System (AFCARS) report in California says there are:
- 47,871 kids in California's foster care system
- 22,892 who entered foster care
- 15,386 foster kids awaiting adoption
- California foster kids across all ages, with a median of 8 years
- 33% whose foster child case plans include adoption
A child's median time in the California foster care system is over a year at 16.8 months. 13% spend 3-4 years in foster care.
California needs foster parents to take in multiple children if they have the time and energy to care for them. Sibling groups often need care, and it is essential to support these family bonds. In California, it is challenging to find homes for teenagers, though they need stable environments and reliable adults to support them.

This has been my first experience with a foster agency and I could have not hope for a better group of people to work with. My family and my experience has been great. During this process there are many questions and uncertainties along the way but everyone at Building Bridges has been very helpful but I would like to mentiond both Violet and Victor who always go far and above with anything that is asked of them. I would highly recommend being part helping other with the most helpful group of people.

I started with the county as emergency placement but unfortunately I was denied. My Recruiter was Annette from Building Bridges Foster Family Agency who went above and beyond to get us approved with our process. I now have my relative placement and I have received so much support from my Agency Social worker Taylor. I am happy and appreciative for everything Annette ,Taylor and the Agency has done for us and I'm grateful to be apart of the Agency Family.

It has been such an amazing experience to work with building bridges. Everyone that works here is so kind and so helpful, they really go above and beyond for everyone. Whether you’re looking to be a foster family or looking to adopt in the long run, building bridges is definitely the best Agency to work.

From the moment we connected with Building Bridges, we experienced the incredible support they provide. From our introduction to Violet and her responsiveness to our multitude of questions, to our recruiter Annette providing guidance throughout the process of our (huge) paperwork packet, the team has been a blessing. In addition, having a resource team available, just a phone call away, has saved us more than once. Sometimes, none of us has the exact answer but working together to get to resolution is part of the learning process. Patience is key and we wouldn't have wanted to take this journey with any other agency. Danielle, Ana, Erika, Susana and the rest of the team are awesome!

I want to thank Building Bridges for being part of our family. We have been blessed to be part of such a supportive FFA. building Bridges staff goes beyond the call of duty. they are loving and compassionate their commitment to the children are unprecedented. my husband and I moved from another agency and found Building Bridges to be the Place for us. I want to give a shout out to Annette Perez the recruiter who made our transition as smooth as possible making sure all our paperwork was in prompt. Also to our wonderful Caseworker Alejandra for Her Constant support. Thank you wonderful team for being so devoted to the children and for The therapeutic Way of listening to us, the resource parents.
