Adoption Advocates, Inc.
If you are facing an unplanned pregnancy, you are not alone. We are here to answer your questions and provide support while you explore making an adoption plan for your baby. And because we’re a local adoption agency in Austin, we can help you connect with trusted resources and potential adoptive families in our area.
Adoption Advocates’ Board of Directors established the Vision of Hope Fund to assist birth mothers in need. There are many requests for services and financial assistance we cannot meet under licensing standards. These requests can be met through donations to the Vision of Hope Fund.
During the past years, we have assisted birth mothers with the following: rent for a birth mother who lost her job, GED class expenses, college tuition and books, Christmas presents for birth mothers and their children, transportation costs to attend adoption finalization, and post-adoption counseling regardless of date of placement.
The Vision of Hope Fund allows us to make a difference in the life of a birth mother who not only needs our financial assistance but also our emotional support. Your support in helping us with the needs of our birth mothers is appreciated more than you can imagine. Nonprofit adoption agency providing safe, ethical adoption services in Texas since 1991, with offices in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas.

Requirements to become a foster parent
Adults who are new to the fostering process sometimes feel overwhelmed and wonder if they will have support on their journey. Your child-placing agency is the first resource. Social services caseworkers provide aspiring foster parents with various types of support and connections. These include free educational training programs, helplines, and support groups.
It is important that foster parents build their individual support network, too. Connecting with other foster families with more experience is an excellent place to begin. Texas groups offer foster parent meetups; you can search online for the closest one.
The Texas Foster Family Association provides state training, a regional directory of support services, a summer training conference, and more. Membership benefits include getting access to foster care professionals and learning more about ways to become better caregivers. Children of TFFA members can also get assistance through the Scholarship Fund.
Austin Angels is another support organization that strives to assist foster parents and Texas foster children. They offer care packages and gifts for foster children and their caregivers, mentorship options, and education, among other resources. Foster children and teens can learn valuable skills that help prepare them for independent living, as well.

We used Adoption Advocates for the adoption of our two boys. Adoption can be stressful and confusing but Rory and her staff went out of their way to be sure that not only we were supported, but the birth families were supported as well. We always new the risks involved every step of the way so, when our birthmother decided to parent 12 hours after giving birth, I was deeply sad but wasn't surprised because we knew that 33% of birth mothers change their minds. Our story has such a happy ending because, we believed that our baby was out there, and just 5 days later, our son was in our arms! Don't give up hope, have faith and call Adoption Advocates. They are the BEST agency in Austin!

We weren't sure when adoption might happen or what it might look like for our family, but we decided to go to AAI's training seminar on a Saturday and Sunday. By the drive home, we knew the answer was "now and with AAI". Between then and now, our baby boy has come home, we've learned so much, and we count their staff and our adopting peers as lifelong relationships.
They take an evidence-based, practical, and holistic view towards adoption. You'll learn more about adoption, human relationships, and yourself than you ever expected. And they're heavily focused on ensuring a healthy situation for birth parents, adopting parents, and the adoptee.
If you're so much as considering adoption, start getting to know AAI, and you'll be way better for it, whatever the adoption outcome may be.

We could not possibly be bigger fans of AAI. This is a difficult and complex process, and AAI helped us navigate it all. We were particularly happy with the care and attention they paid to the birth family. They showed so much sensitivity and care to them...not just the mom, but the whole family. We believe that is so incredibly important and feel we really partnered with the right team.

4 years ago we adopted infant twins through AAI. As an adoptive parent, I can say that the way they handled the delicate aspects of adoption was based on love, care, understanding, and respect for all of us. No judgement zone. Our birth mother felt safe, supported and well educated by their adoption counselors. Their services were well rounded for all parties of the adoption triad and we feel so lucky to have had this team of women carry us all through a very monumental moment in our life. After 25 years in the adoption world, they are a great resource for anyone who has questions about adoption in general....
