We came to Haven after 4+ years of frustration with another agency and very skeptical of the adoption process. Haven gave us hope. Sarah, in particular, promised that if we persevered, we WOULD adopt a baby. Haven delivered on that hope in the most ethical no-nonsense way.

It became clear early on that Haven deeply cares about its biological parents. Its policies reach a thoughtful balance in protecting biological and adoptive parents and ultimately the baby. They simply make sense.

The driving forces behind our adoption of our son were the love of his birth mother and the genuine multi-faceted support provided to her by Haven's pregnancy counselor Kayla. This relationship gave the birth mother confidence in her adoption plan and trust in Haven's prospective adoptive families. It comforted us as well -- knowing that the plan was solid, that the birth mother was being appropriately helped, and that our relationship with her was starting off on the right foot.

As an adoptive family, we appreciated Haven's transparent and straightforward approach. There were no restrictions on what opportunities we saw. There were no substantive redactions to the information presented in those opportunities. What Haven knew, we knew. Then we decided for ourselves whether an opportunity felt right.

If a prospective adoptive family were to ask for an agency recommendation, we would say Haven and only Haven. More than that, if an expectant/birth mother considering an adoption plan were to ask for an agency recommendation, our response would be the same.

We have been thrilled with the level of care and service that we have received from Haven. Haven has provided excellent service to our expectant mother. As clients, we have received open, honest and timely communication from Haven. We have never felt pushed off to the side. Haven keeps a small client base in order to provide amazing service... and amazing service is exactly what we have recieved. We can't thank Haven enough for their honesty, thoughtfulness, service and commitment to their clients and expectant mothers.

We highly recommend Haven Adoptions to anyone considering adoption! While we were looking to grow our family through adoption, it was very clear, through the whole process; Haven Adoptions cares deeply for and values birth mothers.

We were brand new to the adoption process when we found Haven Adoptions. Since we did not live close to them, they set up a video call so we could talk face-to-face with Sarah. Sarah explained the adoption process extremely thoroughly and took the time to answer the many questions we had. After talking to Sarah, it was clear we wanted to work with Haven Adoptions. Once that decision was made, Haven quickly got us everything we needed to get our home study, clearances, etc. started and was helpful in completing everything.

We were lucky enough to join Haven’s FITT program almost as soon as we had everything completed. Shortly after that, we were presented with an adoption opportunity that ultimately did not work out. While it was an extremely tough situation, everyone at Haven (Kelly, Sarah, our case worker and adoption attorney) was readily available, up front, informative, and supportive. They made a difficult and uncertain time for us, as easy as it could be.

When we did have our successful adoption, Haven could not have been more supportive. They were present through the whole process and kept us informed of everything going on. Everyone at Haven made us feel like family and they were invested in the adoption process.

In our opinion, Haven Adoptions is awesome! Everyone is friendly, supportive and caring. It is evident they have a calling to do what they do and truly want the best for everyone involved. Our adoption journey was neither easy nor typical. We had been working with an agency for about a year and during that time had experienced two failed placements. Our third match came through and independent source, and the birth-mother wanted the support of Haven Adoptions to guide her through the process. While this was not our agency, the staff at Haven took us under their wing and agreed to work with our agency to help process this unique situation.

It was easy to see why our birth-mother chose Haven to help her place her child with us. Haven provided her with great resources not only during the process, but also after placement. They also did an amazing job teaming with our agency to ensure we were supported as well- keeping us informed the whole way through. They were with all of us through the entire delivery/ placement process to make sure that our son’s best interests were paramount. We felt comfort in knowing that our birth-mother was being well taken care of, and appreciated all the love and support that our family received. We consider the staffs of both agencies to be his ‘fairy godmothers’ and helping us find our happily ever after.

Post placement we send our birth-mother regular updates per an agreement Haven facilitated. They have helped us foster and maintain a level of contact that met all of our needs. Their advocacy for birth-mothers and focus on erasing negative stigmas around placement is both admirable and supports our beliefs as well.

Our journey took us on many unexpected paths, but we believe that there was a reason behind each one. We are eternally grateful to everyone involved, including the amazing staff at Haven. Thank you for your contribution to our family!
