Our Foster Care program provides boys and girls ages 4–17 with emotional or behavioral difficulties an opportunity to live within the community in the naturally therapeutic environment of a family. Our foster parents are trained, supervised, and supported by the Laurel Heights Specialized Foster Care Treatment Team.
Family consultants work with the foster family, birth parents, case managers, and the child to ensure that therapeutic, academic, social, and medical needs are met. Family consultants also provide 24-hour on-call support and work closely with case managers and birth families to support family reunification goals.

Requirements to become a foster parent
The DHS assists foster families with placement and ensures the child adjusts well to their new environment. Absolutely a Trash Hospital. Unprofessional liars. The staff in uneducated in mental health, they should know more than parent & should do better than basic information you learn about mental health with having a child with mental health issues. The low star rating is not just a bunch of Karen's complaining it is 100% factual reviews. I am unsure how they ever got any star rating above one star. The state needs to step in an investigate this Hospital & many others. Mental hospitals are not regulated well enough. Laurel Heights do better. Train your staff. They can't even full out basic paperwork with accuracy.

Had a friend who kept her autistic child and when she came to pick up her son to take him to the new facility , they did not have any of the paperwork for the transferral. Absolutly unprofessional, disorganized, and poor communicators. This place needs to go under! Don't go here!

i just left this place back in September been there for 7months and my
journey was horrible the staff don't even do their job and the food was
so uncook they barely had clean sheets, clean cover, or clean face towels the gym be filthy the bathroom was so nasty and their sink barely work overall my experience i felt like i was at an junk yard never again please don't come here

My child went as a complete nightmare... I was ready to turn him over to cps because he was outta control. 3 months here he came home a complete different child... Yes ma'am no ma'am did things without having to ask him

My 16 year old brother was a patient here. The therapists were decent and professional but the other workers were the issue. This place is very disorganized. Every time we called we were told different information. The workers are very rude and prejudice against Hispanics.
We also took 2 brand new blankets for my brother and the worker only gave him 1. When he was discharged, we were not given the other blanket back so the worker stole it.
Avoid this facility if possible!
