Requirements to become a foster parent
Many adults are eligible to become foster parents in their state but do not always realize it. Each state in the U.S. has regulations and requirements for licensing foster parents. Florida does not require parents to own a large home or quit their jobs and become stay-at-home parents. Florida foster parents must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Prove good health and ability to care for a child
- Maintain a stable income
- Pass a background screening
- Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
- Complete a Home Study
The required training course is free to aspiring foster parents. It helps parents learn how to foster children and become licensed to provide foster care in Florida.

I've had a terrible experience since working with them. I see now if your a birth mother they try and bully you. Push you under the rug and only care for the adoptive parents with money. If ANYONE has had ANY similar cases happen with them PLEASE PERSONALLY contact me I want to hear your stories! Myersamyjoy@gmail.com

I traveled from Colorado to Florida to do this adoption 6 days before my due date! Everything sounded great, they had a hotel booked for when we got there, as we arrived at almost 3 in the morning with my 2 young children, the cops are there upon checking in. My husband asks "is this a safe place to stay?" The officer laughed. He went to check the room as I sat in the car crying, exhausted from driving over 1000 miles with my then 3 year old and 1 year old, who were also crying and exhausted. I will give them the credit that they were quick to answer that time of night. But we had to find another hotel and put our card on it. But honestly that's not even my biggest concern. The fact that I go and check my credit score as I'm looking for a new place to live, and that's how I found out they never paid the medical bills. No response, nothing. I already know I got shafted on this adoption but it is what it is and my daughter is in a good home with loving people. But unless you have representation for yourself as a birth mother, I would NOT recommend this place. I didn't want to write this review but maybe I'll finally get in touch with someone now.
