A Tender Love and Care Adoptions
Tender Love and Care FFA, a foster family agency in Moreno Valley, California, accepts dependents of all genders from infancy to 21 years of age, who have a history of abuse and neglect or delinquency, and who have ongoing treatment and care needs requiring out-of-home placement. We recognize that foster children placed in out-of-home care are likely to have experienced trauma including but not limited to physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, poor nutrition, medical neglect, family dysfunction, and separation, among others.
We are strongly committed to cooperating with our Child Welfare Agencies who place their foster children with our agency. We strive to provide permanency goals including reunification, emancipation, or independent living plans associated with these children.
A Tender Love & Care FFA aims to take part in changing the world by giving children a chance at a better life and a brighter future.

Requirements to become a foster parent
Many do not realize the need for new resource families in California. The number of foster kids outnumber the foster families who can provide short or long-term care. Foster advocates work hard to find places for these children, but it is not easy.
The latest 2021 report from the Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System (AFCARS) report in California says there are:
- 47,871 kids in California's foster care system
- 22,892 who entered foster care
- 15,386 foster kids awaiting adoption
- California foster kids across all ages, with a median of 8 years
- 33% whose foster child case plans include adoption
A child's median time in the California foster care system is over a year at 16.8 months. 13% spend 3-4 years in foster care.
California needs foster parents to take in multiple children if they have the time and energy to care for them. Sibling groups often need care, and it is essential to support these family bonds. In California, it is challenging to find homes for teenagers, though they need stable environments and reliable adults to support them.

The most unethical company to go through to be a foster parent. Do yourself a favor and research other FFA's in the area and go to one of those instead. The director is shady and literally harasses the foster parents demanding extra stuff to be done that is not required at other FFA's and a waste of time. I referred another friend of mine to also become a foster parent here but witnessed the director talking about her to her staff. This is so wrong. Go to Walden or Hugs. Don't even get me started on how they treat their social workers. Over my 2+ years as a foster parent here I have had over 4 different social workers who leave and go to other agencies because of the practices at this place. Stay far away.

One of my favorite foster care agencies to work with. The director is the kindest and the sweetest person you'll ever meet. She goes above and beyond to help meet children's needs and really has their best interest at heart. I'm definitely going to continue working with them!
