My goal has always been to be a small, licensed Alabama adoption agency that provides personal guidance and counseling every step of the way! Requirements to become a foster parent
You must meet minimum requirements to provide foster care for children in Alabama. Foster parents for children in need must:
- Be 19 years of age or older
- Offer a safe and caring home environment
- Provide adequate space for the foster child
- Maintain financial stability
- Ensure all household members are in good health
- Meet necessary home requirements
- Pass a background check
- Finish the 30-hour training course
- Complete the Home Study process

A Angel Adoptions is absolutely fabulous. They helped us with everything and always answered all of our questions. They do an amazing job of not only supporting adoptive parents but also truly caring for birth mothers. Every interaction was full of compassion for birth mom, baby, and us.

Our experience with A Angel Adoption was nothing short of Grand Design ... from the initial phone call with Suzanne during our application process to the day we met at the agency office to hold our beautiful baby for the very first time. We couldn't have been happier with how everything was handled. Suzanne, Susan and Emily make an adoption dream team! The level of advocacy in both directions (for birth mothers and for adoptive parents) never ceased to amaze us. We are forever grateful A Angel Adoption was a part of our adoption story ... our family wouldn't be complete without them!

I highly recommend A Angel Adoptions. We adopted our youngest daughter through them in 2019. They were always upfront/transparent with costs, time frames, and sharing their wonderful wisdom/perspective (from doing this so long). They walked our birth mom and us step by step through the whole process. Suzanne is very comforting, encouraging and quick to get a hold of any time. She and her teammate, Emily, visited the hospital every day from right after the delivery to discharge. They became dear friends through the whole process. Don’t take my word for it. All you have to do is call Suzanne and you’ll know from her patient, kind voice and the time she takes to answer all your questions that she is totally dedicated to what she does and the women and men she helps. Our adopted daughter is our third and most likely our last kiddo, but if we wanted to adopt again, I would not hesitate to use A Angel again!

We had a great experience with A Angel Adoptions from the very beginning. Suzanne was very kind and helpful as we navigated our first adoption.
