A Angel Adoptions

This was our first time adopting. After exploring other agencies and adoption options, Angel Adoptions was the only choice. When we started this process, I called Angel Adoptions. Suzanne spent an hour with me going over the process of adoption and helped me understand why some of her birth mothers choose the path of adoption and the risks involved. You could hear the care in her voice and the empathy she has for both the adoptive families and the birth parents. After that conversation, she would not take my application! I was dissapointed. To my dismay, it was all for a purpose! Suzanne does not take millions of applications and keep families waiting and spending money. She keeps a select number of families so not to overwelm and confuse the birth mother and also to provide intimate support to the adoptive families. The birth mother has the support she needs and would be comforted to know that Suzanne just doesn't choose any family to represent. She did a very thorough examination of us. In my opinion, her adoption agency is the only choice in Alabama. In addition, she does not require thousands of dollars up front like most agencies. The fees are paid after you have been placed with a child. She also did not require that I use her agency for the home study. I used Rebecca Connor, and independant social worker who was also wonderful. After my home study was approved, I waited roughly 7 months before calling Suzanne again. Roe vs. Wade had been reversed and I thought maybe she would accept our application. Well, after being with Angel Adoptions only 2-3 months, My Angel baby arrived in August of 2022. Little did I know, we were waiting on her to get here! We are thrilled and blessed beyond measure that her birth mother choose us to raise her baby. Our baby girl was everything we had prayed for!! The remainder of the process was smooth and I wouldn't change anything for the world. Suzanne and Emily were fantasic and if you are considering adoption, whether as a birth mother or an adoptive family I wouldn't recommend any other than Angel Adoptions!! with love, the Grices :)

Suzanne and Emily are absolute angels! There was never a time that we felt unprepared or unable to ask questions. They were both always there for us, checking in, taking our calls and e-mails whenever they could. My family could not recommend a angels enough to anyone going through the process. We are so appreciative of them!

Most importantly, we felt like Suzanne and Emily truly cared about us and our adoption dream. They were positive, encouraging, and hopeful throughout the process. Our specific adoption story involved a stork drop adoption with a very short timeframe between match and placement, and Suzanne and Emily walked with us with grace during that whirlwind of a week! Kate Kruse, who cared for our daughter for the week before we took placement, is an angel in disguise and we are grateful to her and her family for loving our daughter so well during that week.

We would highly recommend A Angel Adoptions to other families considering adoption. We thank God for Suzanne and the whole A Angel Adoptions team!

We have nothing but stellar things to say about Suzanne and A Angel Adoptions. We talked to several agencies before deciding to work with A Angel, and after our initial call, we knew we would use them for our adoption. Just our first call was almost 2 hours, and Suzanne took the time to answer every question we had thoroughly, honestly, and transparently. Even though A Angel is a smaller agency, they gave us a real confidence in the process.

They were great at communicating throughout, and are great at educating you about adoption, both the good and the hard so you’re adequately prepared. Susan and Emily were amazing to work with, as well. They made what could be a stressful process enjoyable, and we felt like we gained 3 new friends along the way. Suzanne and Susan are amazing at caring for birthmoms, constantly checking in and offering counseling, even if that means traveling on the weekend. We’re so grateful for each of them and their role in our adoption story! We couldn’t imagine working with anyone else.

After two failed matches with another agency, we were feeling very defeated in our adoption journey and had lost a substantial amount of money. Then we met Suzanne and her team at A Angel! Wow! What a sweet answer to prayer! A Angel is unlike any other agency we’ve come across. Their service to both adoptive parents and birth moms is unparalleled. Suzanne brings a ton of experience and knowledge to this process. She is kind and compassionate, and was completely upfront and transparent about cost and expectations. She and Emily were available to us always, answered question after question, and supported us every step of the way. We adopted during COVID, which created some major challenges, but that didn’t stop them from giving us their full support. They loved and advocated for our birth mother so well throughout the process, which made us feel confident and assured in the placement. We are forever grateful to Suzanne, Emily and Kate for all their hard work and support in bringing our baby home. These three are true angels in the adoption industry!!
