Catholic Adoption Services of Washington
Our Mission
Rooted in Catholic Social Teaching and the Gospel imperative, Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services are outreaches of the Catholic Church in Western Washington, under the leadership of the Archbishop of Seattle and the Boards of Trustees. CCS and CHS answer the Gospel call to loving and compassionate service with particular concern for the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death and the dignity of the human person. Our employees and volunteers come from many faith traditions to serve and support poor and vulnerable people through the provision of quality, integrated services and housing. Our focus is on those individuals, children, families, and communities struggling with poverty and the effects of intolerance and racism. We actively join with others to work for justice.

Requirements to become a foster parent
If you have questions or you're experiencing an emergency, contact your Child Welfare Office. If you're dealing with a medical emergency, contact 911 immediately.
The crisis support line for your local Child Welfare Office is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is also after-hours support via the Contact Central Intake at 1-800-301-1868.
Washington residents can also access their regional mental health crisis line regardless of whether they have insurance. These helplines are open and staffed 24/7 all year round.
Washington foster families also have the Alliance Caregiver Retention, Education, and Support (CaRES) program. New parents can learn from CaRES mentors. Alliance CaRES partners with the Department of Children, Youth & Families to provide resources and assistance to foster and kinship families across the state.
Foster parents can also access discounts across Washington, such as state parks, zoos, etc. You can find more information about these free programs and discounts on the CaRES website.
Online tools, such as foster parent portals, help make fostering easier and streamline the application process.

We called this morning and tried to speak with someone in human resources. The young woman that picked up the phone simply could not understand the questions and rude. Now we were just asking her for her supervisor and she hung up on us. We called back 4 additional times where nobody there could actually transfer a call. Ridiculous
We could hear them chatting in the background and one person said several times ( the girl saying) jjust hang up on them!!!! Low life's working there...Bravo CCC your a failure

I called because I googled the place. I introduced myself and right in the middle the receptionist cut me off, twice. Asked if I had kids, which I dont. Then she just hung up. She needs training or something. That doesn't give the vibe of a Catholic service at all. It was a female, Thursday, June 22 at 9:55 am.

Catholic Community Services is a amazing place they offer all kinds of assistance and they are there to help people how they feel they need help. If you have the will to change your situation they will be there to provide you with all the assistance you could ever need they don't judge you either or try too tell you how they think you should do things either so if your someone who's struggling with addiction or homelessness they won't be on you trying to tell you how you need to change your ways they are there to listen to what you need and to help you get the things that's going to help you change your situation as long as your trying they will be there and a lot of the people who work with them are also people who have had the same kinds of problems you might be having so they really do understand what your going through and they don't try to preach to you or make you feel like they think their way is the way to do it it's truly a amazing place with amazing people who are there to help you and listen and they do it how no other places do with true compassion and understanding and they really are there to provide their time and help to see you get a chance at a better place in life and it's places like that we really need now days because their working to help people on their terms all they want is to see you achieving your goals and that's it. So if your someone who is in need of anything and you don't know where to turn try this place because I will bet that they can help you no matter how difficult your situation might be. Catholic Community Services is truly a amazing place and they are there to help you.
