Our agency was not created on a whim. Heartstrings was founded in 2013 by the mother/daughter team of Jessica Lau and Andrea Holdaway. Andrea and her husband Evert adopted two daughters into their family. Jessica wants to give families the same gift of love that she feels for her adopted sisters.

Requirements to become a foster parent
Utah families receive monthly foster care payments to help offset the costs of raising a child. This stipend is meant for room and board, clothing, and related expenses.
The amount you receive varies based on a child's age and needs. Children that require more attention and care have slightly higher rates.
Foster youth have their medical and dental needs covered through Medicaid. This insurance should be enough for any doctor's visits, therapy sessions, dental exams, etc. Foster children also qualify for free school lunches.
Utah parents can take advantage of mentorship programs that allow them to learn from more experienced foster families. It's an excellent way to connect with others and build a support network. Plus, you'll have someone else to turn to if you have questions.
Utah Kids Belong has an app that gives foster parents access to special discounts from foster-friendly businesses. It's also an easy way to connect with faith-based communities, which may offer other types of support.

My husband and I had the most amazing experience with this agency. Everyone we interacted with treated us like family. They are compassionate people who show love and respect for both adoptive families and expectant mothers. I would recommend them to my closest friends and family. We love them so much!

Amazing to work with from start to finish! They keep in touch and answer questions and guide you through the whole process. We were very blessed to have been referred to them and to finally bring our princess home!

I've had the best experience here, I've been treated like family from the start Andrea, Tony, and Jessica are the most amazing people I've ever met anyone thinking about a agency to choose from please don't hesitate they have helped me beyond what I've ever imagined. I now have a family that I will never stop seeing/talking to they are more amazing than words can express thank you heartstrings adoptions.

ADOPTIVE PARENTS BEWARE: Another unethical agency just in the adoption business for the money. So disheartening since the owners are adoptive parents themselves. Jessica stated, they would work with us on reimbursement for BM expenses lost, but when the time came to actually reimburse us they made a new “policy” stating the company doesn’t reimburse.
Heartstingsnis not “trustworthy” as they say on their website. Our birthmother also stated she was not happy with the care she received from Andrea, so be careful on both sides with Heartstrings.

Actually its Carolyn Arnold Kathy arnold was my Mother ;)..
I am a birthmother and i have to say that these are the most loving caring yet professional group of people to work with. If you are a birthmother searching around looking for the right agency to work with look no further seriously,.. I have placed two beautiful little girls through heartstrings and I know you would not in the slightest be discouraged and/or dissapointed. I am at peace mentally and emotionally they have helped me when i couldnt even help myself.
