Our agency was not created on a whim. Heartstrings was founded in 2013 by the mother/daughter team of Jessica Lau and Andrea Holdaway. Andrea and her husband Evert adopted two daughters into their family. Jessica wants to give families the same gift of love that she feels for her adopted sisters.

Requirements to become a foster parent
Utah families receive monthly foster care payments to help offset the costs of raising a child. This stipend is meant for room and board, clothing, and related expenses.
The amount you receive varies based on a child's age and needs. Children that require more attention and care have slightly higher rates.
Foster youth have their medical and dental needs covered through Medicaid. This insurance should be enough for any doctor's visits, therapy sessions, dental exams, etc. Foster children also qualify for free school lunches.
Utah parents can take advantage of mentorship programs that allow them to learn from more experienced foster families. It's an excellent way to connect with others and build a support network. Plus, you'll have someone else to turn to if you have questions.
Utah Kids Belong has an app that gives foster parents access to special discounts from foster-friendly businesses. It's also an easy way to connect with faith-based communities, which may offer other types of support.

They are great they treat you like family they are very kind they are there for you and they are very supportive I loved spending time with them I never meat people like them you can talk about anything and they do not judge you very down to earth people I can really say it was a hard decision but thet never left my side and I know they will be friends of mine for life

They are awesome to work with from beginning to end ther is nothing I would change they treated me like family to the very end respectful of my wishes and always met my needs hands down the best agency in Utah I love Andrea and Jessica if you wanna feel like your mother is taking care of you and feel like home I would 1000000% recommend them they have been more than great even after placement they still are here supporting me through it all❤️ HEARTSTRINGS HAS MY HEART and have extended family now !!

Heartstrings Adoptions is by far the best agency to work with. I highly recommend this agency to anyone that is looking for a great adoption agency to work with. Not to mention, there is no judgement as well as they make u feel very comfortable. I would give 100 to infinity stars if possible.

I had a very good experience with Heartstrings. They treated me like family and helped me a lot. I'm so glad I chose to go with them and placed my baby with a good family. It is so much easier to do this if you have good support. I found it with them.
