Little Flower Adoptions is a Texas-licensed child placing agency: Adoption Home Study Services, Adoptive Parent Preparation/Education, Post-Placement Services, Identified Adoptions, and Birth Parent Services.Little Flower Adoptions is owned by Kris Miller, M.Ed, LPC. She has been the Executive Director and Licensed Child-Placing Administrator since the inception of the agency.

Little Flower Adoptions has been a licensed adoption agency since 2001. We have assisted hundreds of birth mothers with making an adoption plan for their babies and hundreds of adoptive parents with building their families through adoption.
We work a little differently than most adoption agencies. While traditional adoption agencies specialize in matching birth parents with prospective adoptive parents, Little Flower Adoptions primarily works pre-matched cases. So, if you are a prospective adoptive parent working with a Texas birth mother, we are your agency. We will ensure your case meets all licensing standards and legal requirements. We will also ensure that you, whether you are a birth mother or adopting parent, are supported and guided through this process and that the case is in the best interest of the baby.

Requirements to become a foster parent

Adults who are new to the fostering process sometimes feel overwhelmed and wonder if they will have support on their journey. Your child-placing agency is the first resource. Social services caseworkers provide aspiring foster parents with various types of support and connections. These include free educational training programs, helplines, and support groups.

It is important that foster parents build their individual support network, too. Connecting with other foster families with more experience is an excellent place to begin. Texas groups offer foster parent meetups; you can search online for the closest one.

The Texas Foster Family Association provides state training, a regional directory of support services, a summer training conference, and more. Membership benefits include getting access to foster care professionals and learning more about ways to become better caregivers. Children of TFFA members can also get assistance through the Scholarship Fund.

Austin Angels is another support organization that strives to assist foster parents and Texas foster children. They offer care packages and gifts for foster children and their caregivers, mentorship options, and education, among other resources. Foster children and teens can learn valuable skills that help prepare them for independent living, as well.

We have been working with Little Flower Adoptions for the past 3 months, during our out of state adoption process. They have been absolutely amazing to work with. Our caseworker, and the agency director, have been extremely helpful, understanding, patient, caring, and knowledgeable. Their commitment to us, and to keeping the birth mother's best interests as a priority, has been overwhelmingly impressive. I cannot recommend this agency, their caseworkers, and their director, enough.

As a birth mom I do not recommend this agency. The agent herself only made this process harder. Not very helpful unless SHE needed something. Not too concerned about the birth mother. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Little Flowers was so wonderful to me in the journey to adopting my baby boy. I cannot express in the right words how the support, honesty, encouragement and at times someone to cry with me, meant to me. This is an amazing group of caring people that will stand by your side and go above and beyond as you walk your journey in adoption. Simply the best! ~ Janet

There are not enough adjectives to describe all of the heart felt and positive emotions and experiences with Little Flower and especially Kris Miller. Four years ago they were there for us for the adoption of our son and just recently they jumped right into action when we adopted our twin girls. Kris was there every step of the way helping and guiding us and more so providing support during one of the most important times of our lives. Little Flower Adoption is detail oriented, friendly, and overall just amazing!!!!! Thank you from the. Bottom of our hearts! The Rosa family.

Worked with this agency briefly a few years back. The overall experience was extremely negative. They jumped to conclusions and made out of line comments. We stopped working with them and went to a different agency with whom we had a much better experience and are expecting a little boy with any day now! I would highly recommend avoiding this agency for adoptions or home studies. There are other great options in the area!
