Little Flower Adoptions
Little Flower Adoptions is a Texas-licensed child placing agency: Adoption Home Study Services, Adoptive Parent Preparation/Education, Post-Placement Services, Identified Adoptions, and Birth Parent Services.Little Flower Adoptions is owned by Kris Miller, M.Ed, LPC. She has been the Executive Director and Licensed Child-Placing Administrator since the inception of the agency.
Little Flower Adoptions has been a licensed adoption agency since 2001. We have assisted hundreds of birth mothers with making an adoption plan for their babies and hundreds of adoptive parents with building their families through adoption.
We work a little differently than most adoption agencies. While traditional adoption agencies specialize in matching birth parents with prospective adoptive parents, Little Flower Adoptions primarily works pre-matched cases. So, if you are a prospective adoptive parent working with a Texas birth mother, we are your agency. We will ensure your case meets all licensing standards and legal requirements. We will also ensure that you, whether you are a birth mother or adopting parent, are supported and guided through this process and that the case is in the best interest of the baby.

Requirements to become a foster parent
Adults who are new to the fostering process sometimes feel overwhelmed and wonder if they will have support on their journey. Your child-placing agency is the first resource. Social services caseworkers provide aspiring foster parents with various types of support and connections. These include free educational training programs, helplines, and support groups.
It is important that foster parents build their individual support network, too. Connecting with other foster families with more experience is an excellent place to begin. Texas groups offer foster parent meetups; you can search online for the closest one.
The Texas Foster Family Association provides state training, a regional directory of support services, a summer training conference, and more. Membership benefits include getting access to foster care professionals and learning more about ways to become better caregivers. Children of TFFA members can also get assistance through the Scholarship Fund.
Austin Angels is another support organization that strives to assist foster parents and Texas foster children. They offer care packages and gifts for foster children and their caregivers, mentorship options, and education, among other resources. Foster children and teens can learn valuable skills that help prepare them for independent living, as well.

These people have caused me the worst kind of problems. Adoption is stressful in itself then to add people who don’t care but just want to be paid is unreal being that you are working with families. Where is the empathy? Sympathy? Kindness? Compassion? If you’re looking for that in an agency, you won’t find that here. Had I known I would be dealing with these type of people, I would have never went through them. There were several that should have been held accountable but was not because they are all the same. Rude and unconcerned.
If I ever had the chance to work with them again, I would absolutely choose to do something else. I'm not sure who is worst between them and LCFS of Illinois. I had a terrible adoption experience with both. They ruined what ought to have been a wonderful period in our (my family) lives. No mercy, no compassion, everyone is paid a ridiculously amount of money but you're left to fend for yourself. They never have or even attempted to have a solution to any of our questions or concerns. They only cared about money and the birth mom; not even the child. The only good thing was meeting my son. He made it all worth it 🥰
If you’re thinking about working with them, You might be better off handling the adoption process on your own as they are no help at all.
This is my experience with all parties and I will share on all platforms as families need to know what they are getting themselves into when adopting. I never thought I would experience this type of trauma doing a good thing.

If you are looking for an agency that is compassionate, honest, empathetic then this company is NOT for you. We felt uncomfortable after the few(very few) conversations we had with the executive director, Kris, and voiced our concerns but were reassured that this was a great place. We had three people working on this adoption and somehow lacked communication. We as the adoptive family felt this way, as well as, the the birth mom. The few times we called with questions, we were met with reactions of shock that we don't know what is going on, without even being told what to expect. I am still extremely disappointed in how Kris calls herself a licensed social worker but literally lacked empathy on multiple different occasions. She would only reach out for more money for the birth mother or add an extra expense that she forgot and left off. The birth mother had an initial interview and hardly heard from them again. She was clueless to her original birth plan since it had been made months prior. I was also getting text messages after the baby was born asking the stats, which I found extremely tacky while I am supposed to be enjoying my time with this child. I will gladly answer more in depth questions for anyone that wants to use this company. I have more than enough documentation I can share with you.
Before the company responds to this, we have contacted the company and worked with the exec with our concerns and we were met with questions of why we thought that in an aggressive tone.
Be leary of this company, it is not worth the disappointment it will offer. If I could review in the negatives I would for the unprofessionalism and a multitude of other licensing questions I still have.

We worked with Kris and Marcy for our Home Study and adoption process. They are amazing! Held our hands every step of the way! They truly care for us, the birth parent, and the child. Can’t imagine going through this process without their help and guidance!

From our first interactions with Marcy and Kris we knew our adoption journey was in good hands. We can’t imagine doing our adoption without them both- from making the piles of paperwork seem painless to holding our hands at the hospital, our new “aunts” are the best. Our son has so many people that showed up when we got the last minute news he was on the way. Marcy and Kris are at the top of that list. They also treated our birth family with the upmost respect and connected us to them in a way that was so beautiful. 10/10 would recommend Little Flower to any family embarking on the adventure to adopt!!

Every single person we worked with at Little Flower has been truly delightful in helping guide the frightful waters we experienced when meeting our son's birth mother, thinking we had a few weeks before she was giving birth, and then finding out she went into labor the NEXT DAY! I do not know what our son's birth mother would think about how they treated her personally, but we were treated with kindness and respect, and it meant a lot to me to hear that they were equally as invested in our son's birth mother, making sure the process was as easy and smooth as possible for both parties. When we're ready to work towards our second adoption, I have zero doubt that Little Flower will be there to help us just as much as they did the first time! You'd be hard-pressed to find a better agency in the DFW area.
