Adoption Link, Inc. is a licensed adoption agency in the State of Ohio dedicated to working with birthparents from around the country and adoptive families in Ohio throughout the lifespan of the adoption. We serve adoptive parents throughout Ohio, including Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Toledo, and Cleveland, as well as smaller towns and rural locations.

Adoption Link, Inc. provides education and guidance to pregnant women and teens throughout the United States and to Ohio individuals or families interested in adopting. We work to link Ohio adoptive families to birthparents seeking adoption and provide the ongoing network of support that is crucial to the success of healthy adoptive families.

Adoption Link will not judge or pressure you into making a decision, nor do we charge you for any services. All counseling, support, referrals and legal services will be free. Adoption Link will assist you with your medical bills and your pregnancy-related living expenses. Birthmothers receive up to $3,000 for living expenses such as rent, utilities, food, transportation, and maternity clothes. We serve birth parents throughout the United States.

Requirements to become a foster parent
After deciding to foster, make sure your household members are on board with what will be a life-changing decision to foster. Then, educate yourself about Ohio's requirements for foster parents. Applicants who want to foster or adopt in Ohio must:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Live in a safe and stable home
- Meet home safety requirements
- Clear a background check with fingerprinting
- Provide at least three character references
- Provide ample space for a foster child in their house or apartment
- Attend foster parent orientation
- Take part in required hours of foster parent training
- Maintain financially stability
- Prove good health
- Complete the Home Study process
To apply or ensure you meet the prerequisites, there are two primary Ohio state resources. Contact the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) or a local Public Children's Service Agency (PCSAs).
If you are ready to learn more, contact a local child-placing agency to schedule foster parent information orientation. At orientation, aspiring foster parents learn more about foster parenting responsibilities, navigating the foster system, and the foster application process. If you have questions, orientation is an excellent opportunity to ask questions and meet other potential foster families.
Administrative paperwork can take some time to complete, but having everything prepared will ensure it goes smoothly. It will help the process move along if you gather financial documents ahead of time. These include tax filings and paystubs, which you will need to show as proof of financial stability.
Foster parents in Ohio must also attend 24 hours of pre-service foster parent training. This training teaches foster families about the trauma experienced by all foster children. It also covers how to provide general and specialized care to foster children.

My wife and I have recently completed our homestudy and are still very pleased with our choice of Adoption Link as our agency. Naomi has been great through this process and our social worker, Patty, is fantastic. Everyone has been very caring and compassionate. We highly recommend Adoption Link!

We are so grateful that we found such an amazing adoption agency right in our own backyard. Naomi and her team are highly professional but friendly and caring. It was important for us that our agency truly care for and respect the expectant mothers and families that they work with, and we found that in Adoption Link. We very much appreciated Naomi’s clear and concise directions which prepared us for every step in the complex process. She understands the adoption process and has put great thought and effort into creating an Agency with processes and policies that work in an efficient but thoughtful manner. We worked with several social workers during our adoption journey, and each of them were helpful and supportive. Everyone was very responsive to our questions (by phone, text, and email), and we could tell that everyone at Adoption Link was as invested in the success of our adoption as we were. My husband and I first met with Adoption Link in late July, completed our home study in September, and were blessed with our beautiful little girl in April. Working with Naomi and her staff made this stressful and highly emotional process a positive experience from beginning to end. We have no complaints and would not hesitate to recommend Adoption Link to any prospective adoptive parents or expectant families exploring adoption.

I can’t thank Adoption Link enough for all their LOVE and SUPPORT they offered to me throughout my family’s whole adoption process!! They are not only a HUGE support for the birth mother but the adoptive family as well. My husband and myself were matched with the most precious baby girl and are now a family of 3 and couldn’t be more happier!!! I don’t feel it is possible to SMILE any bigger than what I currently am!! My husband and myself feel truly blessed to have come across Adoption Link and definitely will be going back for her sibling. A huge thanks to Naomi and her top notch staff for helping create my beautiful family though adoption!!

From our first contact with Adoption Link, it has been a positive experience. I knew we ha chosen the right agency the minute I met Naomi. She was organized, honest, supportive and encouraging throughout the entire process. Our social worker has been absolutely wonderful as well. We feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity and to now be home holding our own miracle. Words cannot describe our gratitude and overwhelming joy. I will forever recommed them to any prospective adoptive families and birth parent(s).

We have had two amazing experiences with Adoption Link! Everyone we encountered at Adoption Link has been caring and helpful during both of our adoptions. We also appreciated that they showed respect for both the birth families and adoptive families (not all agencies do that). If we decide to expand our family in the future, I will be calling Adoption Link!
