Adoption Link, Inc. is a licensed adoption agency in the State of Ohio dedicated to working with birthparents from around the country and adoptive families in Ohio throughout the lifespan of the adoption. We serve adoptive parents throughout Ohio, including Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Toledo, and Cleveland, as well as smaller towns and rural locations.

Adoption Link, Inc. provides education and guidance to pregnant women and teens throughout the United States and to Ohio individuals or families interested in adopting. We work to link Ohio adoptive families to birthparents seeking adoption and provide the ongoing network of support that is crucial to the success of healthy adoptive families.

Adoption Link will not judge or pressure you into making a decision, nor do we charge you for any services. All counseling, support, referrals and legal services will be free. Adoption Link will assist you with your medical bills and your pregnancy-related living expenses. Birthmothers receive up to $3,000 for living expenses such as rent, utilities, food, transportation, and maternity clothes. We serve birth parents throughout the United States.

Requirements to become a foster parent
After deciding to foster, make sure your household members are on board with what will be a life-changing decision to foster. Then, educate yourself about Ohio's requirements for foster parents. Applicants who want to foster or adopt in Ohio must:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Live in a safe and stable home
- Meet home safety requirements
- Clear a background check with fingerprinting
- Provide at least three character references
- Provide ample space for a foster child in their house or apartment
- Attend foster parent orientation
- Take part in required hours of foster parent training
- Maintain financially stability
- Prove good health
- Complete the Home Study process
To apply or ensure you meet the prerequisites, there are two primary Ohio state resources. Contact the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) or a local Public Children's Service Agency (PCSAs).
If you are ready to learn more, contact a local child-placing agency to schedule foster parent information orientation. At orientation, aspiring foster parents learn more about foster parenting responsibilities, navigating the foster system, and the foster application process. If you have questions, orientation is an excellent opportunity to ask questions and meet other potential foster families.
Administrative paperwork can take some time to complete, but having everything prepared will ensure it goes smoothly. It will help the process move along if you gather financial documents ahead of time. These include tax filings and paystubs, which you will need to show as proof of financial stability.
Foster parents in Ohio must also attend 24 hours of pre-service foster parent training. This training teaches foster families about the trauma experienced by all foster children. It also covers how to provide general and specialized care to foster children.

The staff is wonderful! Preparing for our homestudy currently and couldnt be happier with our decision! Had our first meeting today and it was so informational! Naomi is so nice!

My husband and I adopted our son through Adoption Link in 2016. Our process was smooth, and the support of the Adoption Link team was fantastic. Communication was always consistentent, and they were always available to answer our questions. Naomi’s dedication and passion for the adoption process is evident in how she handles each situation with such professionalism and kindness. We love the Adoption Link staff, and we are so thankful for their hardwork and hearts for adoption! We are currently waiting to be matched with our second child, and we are excited to work alongside Adoption Link through our next adoption journey! :)

Adoption Link was absolutely wonderful to work with from our first meeting to finalization! We were only active about 6 weeks when we received a call from Naomi that we had been chosen by a birth mother. Our daughter was born 12 days later. When we decided to go active the second time we were active just six months when we received a call from Naomi that we had been chosen to adopt a precious baby boy! And here we are getting ready to finalize the adoption of our son! We just want to say THANK YOU to Naomi and ALL of the Adoption Link team for everything that you have done for us! God has used all of you to help us complete our family and we will forever be grateful for you all! We highly recommend Adoption Link!!!

We feel so blessed we met Naomi and Adoption Link. They made everything they could to let us realize our forever dream: grow our family. We are an Italian couple moved in Cincinnati for businesses. We started the process with Adoption Link on Dicembre 2016. September 29 2017 we met our newborn daughter. We will be forever grateful for the professionalism, the compassion and the guidance Adoption Link showed us during this process. Our story can be written in a book.... like many others from adoptive families. We were in an adoption process in Italy since 2010. We decided to stop that process and start a new one here in USA. We were first chosen by a birthmother, in June 2017 and followed her during the pregnancy. At the end she decided to keep the baby. As you can imagine, we were devastated. But we wanted so badly to keep going and belive in our dream that we asked Naomi to be again in the waiting list..... well... a week later she called. " A birthmother chose you guys to be the parents of her newborn baby girl, what do you think?" "YEEEESSSSS!" We answered. And that's all. Our family is now bigger!!! With Adoption Link's help we are now the happiest people in the world. Thank you again, Naomi and the team for the continous support and for the extremely clear path you showed us.... even if each adoption is different your guidelines are really helpful and perspective families can feel secure that following that path everything will be ok. It's a great feeling!
