For nearly a century, Catholic Charities has been on the front lines, serving as first responders – providing food to the hungry, safety to the endangered, and support to those who are suffering. Catholic Charities exists to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ, meeting the immediate needs of the community by providing life-changing and often life-saving services to our neighbors in need.

In 2021 alone, we served more than 280,000 people throughout the 23 counties of the Omaha Archdiocese. We couldn't do it without the generosity and compassion of our donors, employees, and volunteers. Together, we are harnessing the strength of the human spirit and the power of community to shine a light for those in darkness.

Requirements to become a foster parent

If you're worried about being on your own as a foster parent, don't be! Many resources are available to families.

There are plenty of educational materials on the Nebraska DHHS website. You can learn about definitions and common phrases, Medicaid for foster youth, and what it means to become a resource parent. Plus, there are consultants available to resource families.

Remember, there's plenty of information you can find online as well. From blogs to books, there's no shortage of educational materials for foster parents. Many informative materials cost nothing and teach you invaluable tips.

You'll work closely with your local foster care agency. You'll always have at least one point of contact to turn to if you have questions.

Don't forget about creating a support network. Make sure to include other foster parents and advocates from your area. You'll face obstacles on your journey, such as navigating the legal system or saying goodbye. Having the right person on your side for support makes all the difference.

This place did a drill for an active shooter and did not tell anyone about the drill. The police ended up being called because the people thought there was an active shooter instead of being told it was a drill all because they wanted it to feel real. They had a pretend "gunman" who shot blanks in the church. You took the police away from actual people that were really in need of help. Also creating PTSD in the people that were involved. What a horrible, mindless, idiotic move.

Sociopathic that they would do a mass shooting drill without warning their employees. Even worse that they hired a child predator to do it.

This place is horrible I called to get help for domestic violence and they told me three different stories first they told me they didn't help men then they told me they didn't have enough staff to help then they told me they don't help the LBGTQ community so I would recommend that you do not donate money to this organization if you think it's going to help people that are in domestic violence situations because they do not help and they do not care
