St. John's United Family Services
As a full-service adoption agency licensed by the state of Montana, we guide, educate, and support all members of the adoption triad. Each adoption is unique based on what is in the best interest for the child, birth parents, and adoptive parents. Our staff is committed to assisting waiting families and birth parents with all legal matters pertaining to adoption as well as pre and post-adoption counseling. We can also direct you to our Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program for more information about adopting a waiting child and assist in search services for those interested in contacting a long-lost family member. Adoption laws vary by state, and all services offered by St John’s United are governed by and in conformity with the laws of the State of Montana.
St. John’s United aspires to provide healing, meaning and purpose every day for every age. Our mantra, “So Much Life to Live,” expresses our belief in three key areas of life: home, health and family.

Requirements to become a foster parent
Adults interested in fostering and adoption can find support from the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS). The official state website answers commonly asked questions, provides information and resources for families, has information about tax credits and support groups, and more.
The Child and Family Services Division (CFSD) or your local child-placing agency should be one of your first points of contact if you need assistance.
Many online resources are entirely free to parents, such as blog articles. Support groups also exist to help you through the process by providing educational materials or connecting advocates. Foster parents can attend events as well, such as the Child Abuse and Neglect Conference.
Your local foster care agency is always there for you, so don't be afraid to ask questions or raise concerns. You're part of a team as a foster parent, and you can rely on the other team members, such as the case manager or birth parents.

The Mission of SJU is to provide living opportunities within nurturing environments of hope, dignity and love. This Mission statement holds true not only for our elders and their families, but also for the staff at SJU. Everyone I have have the privilege of working with treats one another with these attributes in mind. SJU is a wonderful place that I have the honor in which to serve.

My mom was a resident of St. John's for around 5 yrs. She lived on Chapel Court, then Moorberg Cottage, and was cared for by St. John's Hospice at the very end of her life. She could not have received better care anywhere.

After a fractured femur, my doctor arranged for me to have physical therapy and occupational therapy through St. John's Home Health. I am so very grateful for the help I received. It would have been a harship to travel to therapy. The therapists were professional, knowledgeable, and very kind and patient. The road to recovery was so much easier having them to help. I cannot thank them enough.
