Wellspring Adoption Agency, Inc.
It can be hard to find factual information on the internet about adoption, the process, local agencies and what to expect. At Adoption Minnesota, a local agency in MN, we help you understand the process, answer your questions, and help you create an adoption plan that is right for you and your baby.
Since we are a local agency based in Minnesota, we can travel to you and meet in your home or community in person. We often meet clients in a coffee shop or restaurant that is near their home. We feel that it is important that you are supported as you make this very difficult choice. Our counselors are here to explain each step along the way.
Adoption Minnesota, an adoption agency near you, helps you find an adoptive family, has you meet with an attorney, at no cost to you, so you understand your rights and assists you in creating a plan for openness after placement. We are here to make the process of giving up your baby for adoption as smoothly as possible.

Requirements to become a foster parent
There are several support services available for foster parents in Minnesota. Let's take a look at what's available:
Support Payments
Minnesotan foster parents receive a monthly basic payment to help with the care costs of the foster child. Payments vary depending on the child's age and circumstances. They start at $650 per month.
In some circumstances, foster parents can also receive a difficulty of care supplemental monthly rate. These payments help support children with physical and mental difficulties and can be up to $1,500 per month.
Medical and Dental Coverage
In Minnesota, foster children receive Medicaid coverage for their medical and dental needs.
The foster parents are responsible for arranging the child's medical care and must attend all necessary appointments to maintain their health and well-being.
Training and Support Groups
There are plenty of support groups and resources available for foster parents in Minnesota. These services offer ongoing support and an opportunity to share experiences with other people in the same situation as you.
Additional training can also help you be the best caregiver possible for your foster kid.

The staff with Adoption MN are more than their titles. They believe in adoption, some have been adopted themselves. They make sure they spend enough time with you! They make you feel like you’re family! In the end that is what you’re getting a family! I have seen them fall in love with their clients and take care of them even after the adoption(s) are final. We are adoptive parents who will forever be grateful for everything they did to help us grow our little family!! If it weren’t for all of them and their knowledge, we wouldn’t be sitting where we are today with the most precious little person who makes our lives whole!
Thanks to all of you for getting us to where we are today! Best agency ever!!!

We are such big fans of Adoption MN!
We had been to a few agencies before going to Adoption MN's orientation, but after five minutes, we knew this was the one to help us pursue domestic infant adoption to build our family. Few reasons they stood out:
They respect and support both parties separately. The expectant parent(s) have their own worker and the potential adoptive parent(s) have their own, different worker. This felt really important.
They accept potential adoptive parents as they are. There are no restrictions on age, marital status, orientation, religion. They believe that only the expectant parents should get to choose what they want for their child, and it's not the agencies job to limit the kinds of families they can choose from.
Adoption MN taught us a lot about open adoption. There is so much experience between the staff, they are able to help counsel though each step and have lots of insights into different situations. They help navigate the challenging conversations between the expectant parents and adoptive parents. And knowing they are there to assist during hospital time, in person, is a huge comfort on both sides.
Most of all, we have found everyone we've worked with at Adoption MN to believe in what they are doing. They believe that two families, in difficult situations, can find each other and make something good for a child.
Adoption MN helped support us through two “failed” adoption attempts and the eventual adoption of our daughter. We’re forever grateful to have had them as our partners through the journey. ❤️

We have successfully completed two adoptions through Adoption MN. Over the past few years, we have had the opportunity to meet each staff member. Throughout this process, we have felt supported and respected by all of them. When choosing to adopt again, we returned because it was equally important to us that the birth parents receive this same level of respect. We highly recommend Adoption MN.
