Lydia Home Association
LYDIA Home Association is a Christian, non-profit organization that has
been serving children in Chicago since 1916. We provide an integrated,
holistic approach to help children recover from emotion, physical and/or
sexual abuse. We empower them to believe in a brighter tomorrow by
providing a safe and nurturing environment for them to grow.
Our foster parents are special people who provide love, structure and safety to children who can’t be with their families or on their own. Foster parents know that in foster care, patience and acceptance of what each day may bring is essential, and the gift of love goes both ways. Each foster care placement benefits from the strength of the vision shared by everyone involved: the child, the biological family, the foster family, treatWe believe every adoption is a miracle of love. LSS has proudly served the community and assisted with adoptions for more than 100 years and we continue to strengthen families through Wisconsin and Upper Michigan through public adoption and foster care.ment providers, and other significant people in the child’s life.
