The mission of Christian Family Services, Inc. (CFS) is “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after the fatherless and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world” (James 1:27, NIV).
Christian Family Services (CFS) operates to provide Christian social services to individuals, families, and children, regardless of race, religion, or national origin, in psychological, social, and economic distress.
CFS’s primary clients are women with unplanned pregnancies and biological fathers when they are willing. In addition, we conduct background screens, training, and home studies to certify families are eligible to adopt according to the state’s guidelines.

Requirements to become a foster parent
Many adults are eligible to become foster parents in their state but do not always realize it. Each state in the U.S. has regulations and requirements for licensing foster parents. Florida does not require parents to own a large home or quit their jobs and become stay-at-home parents. Florida foster parents must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Prove good health and ability to care for a child
- Maintain a stable income
- Pass a background screening
- Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
- Complete a Home Study
The required training course is free to aspiring foster parents. It helps parents learn how to foster children and become licensed to provide foster care in Florida.

We have been so blessed by our experience with CFS! When researching adoption agencies prior to choosing one, it was just as important that we find an agency who cared deeply about birth mothers as it was an agency that worked well with adoptive families. Well we can tell you first hand, the CFS team makes caring for, ministering to, and meeting the needs of birth mothers their priority. And as adoptive parents, my husband and I have enjoyed the warm, genuine team of people at CFS who helped make our hope of adopting a reality. Jerry, Debbie, Donna, and Jasmine have always been friendly, positive, reassuring, helpful, attentive, and a reflection of Jesus Christ. If you are looking for a faith-based agency that represents the real deal--whether you're a birth mother or an adoptive family--I highly recommend CFS!

Jerry, Debbie, and their team work tirelessly for all those they serve. They truly care for and nurture the birth mother/parents. They encourage and support the adoptive family. But most of all they serve the interests of the child.
