The mission of Christian Family Services, Inc. (CFS) is “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after the fatherless and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world” (James 1:27, NIV).
Christian Family Services (CFS) operates to provide Christian social services to individuals, families, and children, regardless of race, religion, or national origin, in psychological, social, and economic distress.
CFS’s primary clients are women with unplanned pregnancies and biological fathers when they are willing. In addition, we conduct background screens, training, and home studies to certify families are eligible to adopt according to the state’s guidelines.

Requirements to become a foster parent
Many adults are eligible to become foster parents in their state but do not always realize it. Each state in the U.S. has regulations and requirements for licensing foster parents. Florida does not require parents to own a large home or quit their jobs and become stay-at-home parents. Florida foster parents must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Prove good health and ability to care for a child
- Maintain a stable income
- Pass a background screening
- Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
- Complete a Home Study
The required training course is free to aspiring foster parents. It helps parents learn how to foster children and become licensed to provide foster care in Florida.

When we were beginning our adoption journey almost 7 years ago, I was struck by how CFS truly cares about their moms whether they decide to parent or place. It truly sets this agency apart. These women are people and souls that are lovingly counseled and shown the love of Christ. The director, Mr. Jerry, is truly one of the most genuine humans I’ve ever met. I’m so thankful for the support we received from them when we adopted our daughter. But I am most especially thankful for the love and support her first mama was given during a very difficult time in her life.

Christian Family Services is hands down the best adoption agency. Throughout our entire process, the CFS team showed great professionalism and deep care for both the adoptive and birth families. CFS stands apart from other agencies in many ways, but perhaps the greatest difference is their evident heart for Christ. The whole team is focused on helping women in time of need physically, emotionally and spiritually. Not only did they support our family through our adoption journey, but they have continued to be a monumental blessing to our child’s birth family, which means the world. We cannot recommend this agency enough.

Christian Family Service is an amazing group of people who have the love of Christ for those who have an unplanned pregnancy, for those who are looking to open their hearts and homes to a baby and for the babies. Our experience with them was truly wonderful and still is as they are always open to sharing of photos, asking questions. It wasn't like working with an agency it was like being brought into a loving and caring family who help all those around them! God bless them and keep them strong and going strong!

Everything about our experience with the team at CFS was wonderful. They are so kind, so organized.....and so calm when we needed them to be! Adoption can be quite the rollercoaster, and we are so blessed to have found these amazing people to help guide us at every step. Working with them was the best decision we made. Thank you all!

This agency is special to Florida and a great service to birth mothers and adoptive families. We are thankful to have worked with them for the adoption of our child.
