Requirements to become a foster parent
Many adults are eligible to become foster parents in their state but do not always realize it. Each state in the U.S. has regulations and requirements for licensing foster parents. Florida does not require parents to own a large home or quit their jobs and become stay-at-home parents. Florida foster parents must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Prove good health and ability to care for a child
- Maintain a stable income
- Pass a background screening
- Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
- Complete a Home Study
The required training course is free to aspiring foster parents. It helps parents learn how to foster children and become licensed to provide foster care in Florida.

The best agency ever!!! They helped me get through the tough process of giving my son up for adoption and found him the very best family I could ever ask for. Mrs Renee is the best and I thank her and the adopting family for helping me get through this process they are a true blessing!!!

My husband and I adopted our baby girl through Adoption Miracles and the entire process was beautiful. Renee was amazing. She went out of her way several times for us ! She was fantastic to us and the birthmom and our baby girl. We are so grateful for Renee and how smooth the process went!!!!! We couldn't have asked for a better experience !!!!!!

It has been over 3 months since the adoption took place, I am still receiving medical bills that were not covered by my insurance. Renee from Adoption Miracles actually texted my daughter (the adoptive mother) and told her she could "no longer deal with me" after I sent her several emails and texts regarding these bills I have received that relate specifically to the birth which were were told "any medical bills not covered by my insurance would be paid" which was received by text and still have to now go forward with the actions I need to on my end. I depleted my medical insurance, paid out of pocket expenses that were not reimbursed to me. The last message Renee sent my daughter stated "they might be too old" How?! They are directly related to this adoption and this has nothing to do with anything but what we were told and we "held" up our end of the deal and Adoption Miracles hasn't and refuses to communicate.I can not control when insurance doctor offices send bills out?! I am floored by this! I would HIGHLY recommend you look at all options prior to making the biggest decision of your life. They have ruined so much for our family and I would never want to see that to happen to anyone else. This hurts to say and NEVER how I imagined it would end this way.
