Services We Provide
We take care of services at every level of the adoption process, including:
Identifying a child for adoption and arranging an adoption;
Securing the necessary consent for termination of parental rights and for adoption;
Performing a home study on a prospective adoptive parent(s);
Post-placement visit, which consists of monitoring a case after a child has been placed with prospective adoptive parent(s) until final adoption.
Adoption Advocates is a small, family-operated agency. We only work with a limited number of prospective parents at a time. However, most families have a placement within a year of documentation submission. Please remember that your future child has personal and social circumstances that are very different from your own; if you want the quickest success, you’ll need to be willing to be accepting of those differences. We work with children and prospective parents from the United States and abroad. Every child needs a parent, no matter where they come from.

Requirements to become a foster parent
Many adults are eligible to become foster parents in their state but do not always realize it. Each state in the U.S. has regulations and requirements for licensing foster parents. Florida does not require parents to own a large home or quit their jobs and become stay-at-home parents. Florida foster parents must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Prove good health and ability to care for a child
- Maintain a stable income
- Pass a background screening
- Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
- Complete a Home Study
The required training course is free to aspiring foster parents. It helps parents learn how to foster children and become licensed to provide foster care in Florida.

I was very scared going into the idea of adoption. I didn't have the financial stability to bring another child into my life, but I knew there were many people looking and praying for a child. I talked to a few Adoption companies and they were very formal and uncaring, making it seem like they were just selling babies and you were simply the host uterus.
Then I met Tara and Mrs. Kathy. Two of the kindest hearted women you'll ever meet. They genuinely care, help in the search for the perfect family, and compensate financially so you can focus on having a healthy pregnancy and help stabilize your overall lifestyle.
I never ONCE felt pressured to do something I didn't want to do. The signing of the paperwork after the birth didn't feel forced and I was allowed as much time as I wanted with the baby.
I placed 2 babies for adoption through Tara, and it was thr best experience I could ask for and both adoptive families stick to the contract and send pictures/updates as promised in the open adoption.
I would HIGHLY recommend Adoption Advocated to EVERY adoptive family looking for a baby, and EVERY birth mother trying to figure out their next step. 5 stars!!

The women in this office are very rude and not helpful. I called to find information on my brother that was given up for adoption and they were snarky and seemed bothered by me asking. Still don't know anything and they were my only chance.
