Family Resource Network
Family Resource Network and Kaleidoscope Counseling was founded in 1985, moving into El Paso County in 1992. Kids Resource Network changed their name to Family Resource Network, to honor the focus and dedication to the families for which we work with in the community. In 2001, Kids Resource Network broke into two separate offices making Kids Resource Network of Colorado Springs its own Child Placement Agency. Since the beginning it has been our goal to grow gradually and to focus on a solid and stable program. Our outstanding resources are proof of that. Kids Resource Network of Colorado Springs is the exception!
We work with children and families from diverse backgrounds, many having unique needs. We work with children from ages 0-18 and sometimes help young adults up to the age of 21 should there be special circumstances. Family Resource Network and Kaleidoscope Counseling works to reunify children in a safe and stable family environment.

Requirements to become a foster parent
You must meet minimum requirements to provide foster care for children in Colorado. Foster parents for children and families must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Maintain sufficient income to support a family
- Have physical and mental capability to care for children and youth
- Pass a child abuse background and criminal background check
- Work with a treatment team and undergo future training
- Complete a Home Study
Prospective foster families can contact a Colorado child placement agency or your local Department of Human Services. Social workers in these child welfare agencies will provide information about Colorado's child welfare system, foster care, and the adoption process.
Social workers recommended that other adults and children in your home agree to provide long-term home care, too. If everyone is ready to welcome a new child, your local agency will help your home become an approved foster home.

My children and i were forced to come to this place in November 2020. Not only have they not given me the records I have requested MULTIPLE TIMES THIS YEAR for my children, but my children have also been thrown from "therapist" to "therapist" 5 or 6 times in LESS THAN A YEAR, half of them never even notifying me of the switch. My children were diagnosed with ptsd and adjustment disorder and the fact that they don't take that into account when they are sending them to someone new every other month is so so so unsafe for my kids mental health. The unprofessionalism BLOWS MY MIND. Their current "therapist" whom I've never even met, told me to drop my children off alone without me after I had received an email about suspending services,, and told me not to come.. Absolutely not.. they do not care about building children's trust and then breaking it by their ridiculous employee turnover rate. They do not care about my children's mental health nor the delicate situation we are in. If I could give them zero stars I would. Stay FAR away from this place!!
