Catholic Adoption Services
Adoption Services, Inc. has a compassionate, professional, and experienced staff that is available to serve birth parents and adoptive parents who are interested in making an adoption plan. We are a non-profit, Arkansas-licensed child placement agency with over 36 years of experience. We are an office of Catholic Charities of Arkansas which is a department of the Diocese of Little Rock.
We work with birthparents and adoptive families across the state of Arkansas who are considering a loving plan of adoption. We generally place adoptive children here in the state of Arkansas but will consider placing them out of state in certain circumstances. While we work with families of other faiths, we are aware that many of our birthparents are Catholic and are looking for a Catholic adoptive family.

Requirements to become a foster parent
There are myths and misconceptions about what you need to qualify as a foster parent.
Foster parent requirements vary by state. Parents must be at least 21 years of age in Arkansas. However, there cannot be more than a 45-year age difference between the child and the parent.
Marriage is not a requirement for fostering. Single individuals may apply.
Every foster parent in Arkansas must:
- Pass a background check
- Have a physical exam
- Complete the Arkansas Home Study
- Complete required training classes
- Pass the home inspection
- Attend face-to-face interviews with a state foster advocate
- Maintain financial stability
In addition, foster homes must have enough room for the foster child. This includes 50 square feet of bedroom space for personal belongings.
Reach out to an Arkansas child-placing representative for additional information.
