You don’t have to live in a big city to be a foster parent. You don’t have to have a big house, a fancy car or lots of money. What you need is a home. What you need is a heart that can open to a child who needs you. Won’t you become a foster parent today? A child is waiting.

On average, there are approximately 3,000 children each month in foster care in Alaska. Foster homes provide children in care a temporary, safe, stable and nurturing home until they can be reunited with their families. Some children stay in a foster home for days or weeks; some stay for months. In some cases, children are unable to safely return to their family home and are placed permanently with another family.

We cannot express enough how positive our experience with Alaska Adoption Services has been on our adoption journey. They answered every question that we had, and always responded very promptly and with a smile. The journey to adoption is a learning experience for me, and they were beside us the entire way, always ready to answer any questions that we had, and guided us in navigating unfamiliar waters. If you are looking for a team who offers personal attention and cares about your journey, then you could not ask for a better team of Adoption experts than Alaska Adoption Services. Both Tami Jo and Victoria were such a benefit to us along the way, and never hesitated to respond to our needs.

Alaska adoption services has been a phenomenal agency. We are using them to adopt a child. We have been treated with fairness and respect every step of the way and they always go the extra mile to help and answer every question we have. Even when we they don't have the answers they seek them out. They have checked in with us and kept us informed throughout the process as well as made everything easy and simple in an otherwise expansive and complicated endeavor. We have been very pleased with this agency and have no gripes or complaints. I highly recommend this agency to anyone looking to adopt in Alaska.
