Adoption Choice Inc. (ACI), is a private, non-profit licensed adoption agency serving the entire state of Wisconsin. Since 1986, we’ve been Wisconsin’s premier adoption agency dedicated to creating new families and relationships through adoption, providing adoptive families and birth parents with guidance, counseling, and services every step of the way.
Adoption Choice, Inc. has assisted thousands of adoptive parents in their pursuit of creating or expanding their families. Choosing to adopt can be an exciting and overwhelming decision to make. Our agency is committed to assisting you as you embark on this journey. We are here to educate you, guide you, and support you.
You will work with one of our knowledgeable adoption counselors through the different phases of an adoption. From choosing the type of adoption to pursue to the joyous day of Finalization, we will provide you with the information and tools you need throughout the adoption process.
Adoption Choice, Inc. believes families come in all different forms. Whether you are a married couple, an LGBT couple, or a single individual, our agency can assist you. We are not affiliated with any religious organization and do not discriminate based on age, race, religion, gender, income, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or marital status.
Adoption Choice, Inc. does not have a waiting list for home studies. Once you are ready to begin your home study, one of our counselors will guide you on that process.

Requirements to become a foster parent
The Wisconsin Foster Care and Adoption Resource Center (FCARC) provides educational materials on its website, and you can learn more about foster care through the No Matter What: Stories of Hope and Resilience YouTube Channel. There are also links to family support associations and groups.
You can look up statewide meetings, training options, and events on the FCARC website or contact them at 1-800-762-8063.
Fostering Across Wisconsin is a newsletter that contains helpful articles, stories, and resources. These newsletters are available to parents via a free lending library.
The State of Wisconsin Foster Parent Handbook is packed with valuable tips. It's an excellent source of information to refer to if you need to clarify something or learn more about a foster parent's responsibilities.
Your local foster and adoption agency is always there for you as well. They should be your first choice when contacting someone with questions or concerns.

My wife and I worked with Adoption Choice for the in-state adoption of our son. The process took about 13 months from start to his birth. They were very responsive and supportive through the entire process. Cannot recommend them enough! It's a very stressful, emotional process and we felt like they were there not just for us, but with us, every step of the way.

Adoption choice and specifically Tiana were amazing in our journey and helped us every step of the way. Our situation was unique and involved an out-of-state adoption which also eventually included working through another agency. Tiana was terrific from the get-go, giving us perspective, and helping navigate the extremely complicated process. We don't think we could have had a better agency to work with or a more thorough and compassionate caseworker. Adoption Choice and Tiana were godsends and helped us realize a dream of ours that at times seemed hard to imagine would come true.

If you are looking to adopt you will not be disappointed with Adoption Choice, Inc. We worked with the Milwaukee office and Lindsay Collier was our social worker. This was our second adoption (first in WI) and even with our experience Lindsay helped us navigate the process with such care, detail, and support. We formed such a great relationship with Lindsay and are so grateful to her and everything she did for us. We started the process before the pandemic and they were so organized and efficient when everything had to move virtually for our meeting with the birth mom and our post placement visits. Everyone that we have met at Adoption Choice is kind, welcoming, and extremely helpful!

Adoption Choice was absolutely wonderful to work with. We had used another agency previously, but they had retired and closed their doors. We were so happy to get connected with Adoption Choice, and in particular, working closely with Emily. We were given all of the tools to get connected quickly to a birth mother and complete our family. We highly recommend them!
