We believe adoption to be a permanent, covenant relationship both between the adoptive family and the child, as well as the adoptive family and the birth family. The birth family and adoptive family work together, always keeping the child’s best interest in the forefront when making the arrangements for the placement and afterwards. Cooperation, respect, and love permeate the adoption process.
Adoption Choices of Memphis is a program of Life Choices of Memphis, Inc. licensed by the states of Tennessee and Mississippi to provide child placement services. We are authorized to work with couples outside the Memphis area
At Adoption Choices, we believe that potential adoptive families should be treated with respect and care. They will find here an understanding of the frustration often associated with the adoption process. We will strive to educate families about adoption and keep them as informed as possible throughout the process.
We are here for you.

Requirements to become a foster parent
Foster parents receive help from the Department of Children’s Services, including board rate payments to help offset the cost of care. These rates vary slightly based on the child's age and needs.
Children and teens in foster care also receive state health insurance through SelectKids. The parent helpline is 1-888-422-2963, and there's an online portal for parents.
Kids in care receive a membership ID card, which the DCS Health Advocate Representative has. Each child is also assigned a PCP. Physical and mental health care needs, as well as dental and vision services, are covered.
When you start fostering in Tennessee, you'll receive access to a dedicated Foster Parent Advocate who can answer questions, provide support, and assist you with any grievances and appeals.
Parents must also complete trauma-informed training, which teaches them how to be better caregivers. The training is free, and your agency can help you find and complete the necessary hours. You'll learn most of what you need to know in training, though you'll also want a solid support network.
Foster parents receive access to respite care, which can provide a break when needed. While most parents can leave their children with a babysitter or family member, foster parents must rely on trained, licensed caregivers. Depending on respite care allows parents to address emergencies, relieve stress, etc.

This place, despite its name, does not offer abortion as a choice. The clinic in town that does is called CHOICES, not "Life Choices." Please note this before being deceived.

This is one outstanding organization. Between community events, supplies for babies and mothers, counseling, education on responsible sexual decisions, and helping the least of these - they do a ton of amazing work for the Memphis area. We need to promote a culture of life and true Christian love, these folks embody that very well. A crisis pregnancy center that truly cares, and not only wants to end the cruel practice of abortion, but wants compassionate alternatives to it. They are standing by ready to assist, and then some.

An anti-choice protester give me a pamphlet and this Is one of the places it had listed. This is a crisis pregnancy center and they’ll lie and pressure you to continue your pregnancy.
