MISSION - Hope Hill exists to provide high quality services in a safe, loving, and therapeutic environment to Kentucky's most disadvantaged and vulnerable children and families.
Hope Hill Youth Services is a faith-driven private 501(c)3 non-profit founded in 1960 by Reverend Robert and Ruby Kitchen. We accomplish our mission by providing Foster Care & Adoption, Independent Living, and In-Home Family and Adolescent Services.
Hope Hill has office locations in Mt. Sterling, West Liberty, Morehead, Hazard and Prestonsburg.

Requirements to become a foster parent
You'll still have support and guidance when you receive a foster placement. Kentucky has continued training and can connect new foster parents with experienced families through the Foster Parent Mentor Program.
Having access to an experienced foster family is invaluable. You'll be able to connect with other adults who have advice and can provide coaching to make your parenting journey easier.
Your local child-placing agency is one of your best sources of information and foster parenting services.
Nonprofit child welfare organizations approved by the state recruit resource parents, provide resources, and offer training and general support. When you attend the informational orientation and parent training, you'll receive books and resources that tell you more about the many available foster parent support groups.

I have been a foster parent with Hope Hill Youth Services Prestonsburg , Ky office for a year now. The staff in the Prestonsburg office are superb to work with and are willing to help in any way possible at any time of the day. I love fostering through this agency.

I was molested as a 5 yr old here and still have nightmares. My family came to get me and best thing to ever happen to me. Plus I was stabbed in the lid of my eye with a pencil by some boy. Not what I'd recommend.
