MISSION - Hope Hill exists to provide high quality services in a safe, loving, and therapeutic environment to Kentucky's most disadvantaged and vulnerable children and families.
Hope Hill Youth Services is a faith-driven private 501(c)3 non-profit founded in 1960 by Reverend Robert and Ruby Kitchen. We accomplish our mission by providing Foster Care & Adoption, Independent Living, and In-Home Family and Adolescent Services.
Hope Hill has office locations in Mt. Sterling, West Liberty, Morehead, Hazard and Prestonsburg.

Requirements to become a foster parent
You'll still have support and guidance when you receive a foster placement. Kentucky has continued training and can connect new foster parents with experienced families through the Foster Parent Mentor Program.
Having access to an experienced foster family is invaluable. You'll be able to connect with other adults who have advice and can provide coaching to make your parenting journey easier.
Your local child-placing agency is one of your best sources of information and foster parenting services.
Nonprofit child welfare organizations approved by the state recruit resource parents, provide resources, and offer training and general support. When you attend the informational orientation and parent training, you'll receive books and resources that tell you more about the many available foster parent support groups.

I would recommend Hope Hill Youth Services to anyone! Most supportive system, caring individuals that are there for the kiddos and what’s best for them!

In the short time that I have been here, I have been amazed by the staff. They are not only supportive of the youth in our care, but of one another. Everyone is so appreciative of what you do and are always cheering each other on.

“Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.” I never understood the depth of that statement until I worked at Hope Hill. I’ve always heard your coworkers are not your friends, but that is not the case with Hope Hill. I have truly gained a new perspective on life through this job of being surrounded by passionate people who dedicate their lives to making a difference in the lives of youth that have never known hope. I am forever changed and I owe my growth as a person to this outstanding organization.
