You'll still have support and guidance when you receive a foster placement. Kentucky has continued training and can connect new foster parents with experienced families through the Foster Parent Mentor Program.

Nonprofit child welfare organizations approved by the state recruit resource parents, provide resources, and offer training and general support. We really like Benchmark we have 2 foster children and hope to adopt. Our only complaint is that we would love to have one more foster child but haven’t been called for a placement since July or August 2018. We really like the therapist David he is great with the kids, I love our worker Kathina she is awesome and we are a little crazy about Michelle who licensed us. Everyone who works there that we have come in contact with is very polite, willing to answer questions and very helpful.
