Since 1959, Little City has been on a mission to provide the best opportunities for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through innovative and personalized programming, we empower our individuals to create a meaningful life.As part of our mission, Little City is committed to recruiting and supporting foster/adoptive families to provide loving homes to traditional, lower needs youth and youth with special needs including intellectual, developmental and emotional/behavioral disabilities who have been identified as abused or neglected by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.Little City’s Board of Directors oversees agency policies. The board is made up of community leaders from a variety of backgrounds, all who have a shared interested in furthering the mission of Little City.

Requirements to become a foster parent
You must meet minimum requirements to provide foster care for children in Illinois. To become a foster parent, you must:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Attend foster parent orientation
- Pass a background check
- Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
- Complete the Home Study
- Provide at least three references
- Clear a physical exam
- Maintain financial stability
Foster families must be able to provide a safe and comfortable home for a child. You must provide room for the child to have a bed and enough space for personal belongings.
Foster parents do not need to be married or have a partner. However, if married, couples must show a stable marriage of at least one year before they can foster a child in Illinois.
Foster parents need to meet a child's basic care needs, such as providing meals and clothing. Foster families must also support a foster child's education and assist them in developing social skills.

My daughter was getting MRSA for 5 years there Don't trust them they LIE and they were heavily drugging her with seroquel so she doesn't wake up

I have taken my son to little city dental for years and have never been treated so disrespectful. First of all when I walked in I was not greeted or checked in because the receptionist was too busy talking to a friend...we arrived 5 mins before our appointment time and waited 30 mins to be seen because the dentist showed up late to work and had another client before us.
I never got an apology, I was told to come back in a month when I tried to reschedule they were already double booked on the days to come back, Finally I just insisted she fix my sons tooth because it’s really bothering him, he’s autistic and has been putting bandaids on his teeth since he chipped it. The dentist agreed rudely to fix it she filed his tooth and filled it and gave him nothing to numb it or anything to help with the pain while she fixed it. And when she was finished didn’t say a single word to me.

Horrible place. I worked there for 3 years, they steal from their clients and treat their employees like trash. Its heartbreaking that they dont actually care about people, just money.
